Introduction

Hello. I am tapering off of approximately 25 mg. I ramped up from 10 mg/day , peaked at 30 mg for a day or two, then taped back down to about 20 mg (varied hours to manage dosage). Ramp up started mid June, tapering started July 17th. I have been at 16 mg for about 3 weeks. I suffer from some dizziness and extreme fatigue. These both increased significantly about 8 days ago when I cause a nasty virus.

I had been on Cymbalta from 2009’to 2022 and tapered down over a year into 2023 with no issues. This time is far more difficult, despite a 4 week ramp up period.

I am attempting a hyperbolic tapering, roughly 10% every 3 weeks. However, I have never really gotten stable. I will see my original psychiatrist next week. I had no direction from my pcp so I finally got an appointment with my original psychiatrist

4 large beads in a 20 mg capsule how to taper?

I just got a new prescription and unlike the older ones this 20’mg capsule has 4 huge beads. I assume that I cannot split these beads and put them back into the capsule.

Any suggestions? Thanks

Second time tapering off?

Has anyone tapered off this drug a second time? I took it at 40 mg levels for over 13 years, tapering down for a year in 2022-23. Had no issues

Unfortunately,at the recommendation of my pcp, i tried ramping up again starting in June. I reached about 20 mg/day and could not handle the side effects. I started tapering down about 4 weeks ago. Got to 16 mg and have crippling fatigue.

I wonder if my brain was already sensitive to this. Has anyone else had a terrible second tapering?

Does anyone have experience using Outro Health to taper off antidepressants?

I hope this is permitted since I am not advertising a company or service. I am looking for expert help on tapering off of Cymbalta and found this company. I am interested what people who've used this company think of its service. Thank you

Has anyone had a cold or the flu while tapering off of Cymbalta

I have either a cold or flu- congestion, dizziness , sore throat, and EXTREME fatigue. No fever. My dizziness got worse and the fatigue got much much worse with this bug while tapering. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Tapering from 20 mg advice and experience

I was previously on cymbalta for about 13 years. I tapered down from 40 mg over an 18 month period, leaving it and buspirone about 3 and a half years ago. I did very well without it.

Because a knee injury knocked me out from exercising and feeling depressed, two doctors recommended I restart cymbalta and buspirone on 6/17/26. I ramped up slowly, peaking at 20mg of cymbalta and 7.5 mg of buspirone. This time, I could not handle the side effects (fatigue and dizziness). I began tapering down about 3 weeks ago and am currently at 16 mg of Cymbalta (lovable bead counting method) and 2.5 mg of buspirone. So, including the ramp up, I was on these two for less than 4 weeks.

I continue to experience dizziness and fatigue, although somewhat less than when I tried ramping up. I would appreciate your advice and counsel. I trust people's experience here more than any doctors I've spoken to.

  1. Did I taper down too quickly? I assumed that since I never stabilized at 20 mg, I could start the taper at 16 mg. If too fast, should I wait it out at 16 mg or go up to 18 mg (10% reduction).?

  2. How long has it taken you all to stabilize at a lower dose before you can continue tapering?

thank you
