There is so much fuckery that is going on with these Android radios. I get it there Chinese Android radios but when you're dropping 800 plus on these things you expect a certain level of quality control customer service and efficiency with the fucking shits. And these are both supposed to be the flagship models 🤦 I'm pretty sure you're paying the extra dollar for the best of the best they got which you would think have had all the bugs figure out.
So first off I've got to joyin Android 13 12.95-in at the moment that I just swapped from an atoto X10. I really like it it's really nice uI I can appreciate it more than the x10. I've got all the necessary updates and things your supposed to do. Firmware updates MCU all the things. Cool I like that it's just they're on their website you don't have to go through a certain customer service that takes their sweet ass time to get back to you and ask you dumbass questions when all you're asking for is the firmware update(atoto) anyway got this unit. First thing that I noticed is there's an issue with the USB video out. Doesn't register no way no how. Mind you the most recent recent firmware from this month this year had all the updates for all these other necessary apps. Dod everything you could possibly think of to figure out why it's not registering the USB out but it's registering the TPMS Android auto DVR storage, the works 🤔. It uses an app Ms 1920 or something. So first thing that comes to mind is I've used another app I downloaded Ms-display which works perfectly fine right out the gate no bullshit let's roll. So in the meantime of troubleshooting I've sent an email to Joying. They also take their sweet ass time to get back to you. By the time they get back I've already established the fix and the problem which was the app that comes with the unit is a piece of shit. What do they suggest sending me an APK of the same exact APK in the firmware update for the same exact app and specs that does not fucking work. But in that it is so annoying they ask you the stupid fucking questions/suggestions and insult you're intelligence like you haven't gone through all the troubleshooting so we ain't got to go through this back and forth. I'm telling you what's wrong what's fucked up don't tell me to delete it and give me the same exact shit that does not fucking work my lord. So tell em I don't need help with the USB out I've handled it I've done your job thank you. But now I see the HDMI in and out does not work worth a damn either. So I don't have a solution for this as I can't find another HDMI app that will work or be supported by this unit. It hasn't even been 2 weeks and this is the flagship like come the fuck on. So same thing verified it is indeed the head unit because I've tried other HDMI devices on my overhead monitor etc etc done all the things so that we can get right down to it and not play the game. So tell him everything that's going on they have the story. After another lag and response to the email what do they say So since you bought this from Amazon we're going to need you to email the other side of joyin that handles that. Like what do you mean your customer service you obviously are trying to help me troubleshoot so you are tech support also sat here trying to help me troubleshoot the thing when you ain't got a answer for this shit you want to play this game but okay I will shoot off another email to your neighbors down the hallway so I do and wouldn't you know it takes him a bit and this is what they come back with. Could you send me a video or give me a detailed summary of what's going on. You God damn dipshit if you could fucking read and comprehend I already did that for you. I'm explaining that its fucked up it's the most updated one it's still fucked up need a Different app I don't care whatever it may be but do not suggest the same exact app with the same exact specs like it's going to change anything. Again I've done all the work for you making it as easy as possible could you still want to do this stupid back and forth shit. Spelled it out to em so they clearly know this isn't my first rodeo I'm not an Okie doke. Tired of fiddle fucking with it. So with joying that's where I'm at. Waiting for another stupid response with stupid questions that I've already answered for them.
So the atoto x10
I boughtmultiple units from these people. A5l v10 and the most recent was the x10. I switch from the V10 the x10 because it was more customizable it was suggested to me by customer service. Made it more juicy telling me all the different features that it has. But failed to disclose to me that you have to buy the idatalink myself rr2 for the canbus with all the necessary accessories for that and then there's an adapter for the aToto too said rr2. So from what I thought was a couple hundred bucks more for the x10 than the V10. Now I'm having to drop closer to 500 more for it. They say it supports climate control ODB all the things radar that's what really got me. And before you say it the Amazon ad says it in very small print that you need these things mandatory for the unit to do all the features. Okay that's fine but wouldn't you think that as they're suggesting this unit and all the extras that come with it that don't have to be used with the V10 it should be expected and not a surprise after you've already dropped money on the x10 to realize that oh shit I need this that the other. So from may until a couple weeks ago multiple issues have arrised climate's not working not getting all the features from the rr2 troubleshooting with both of them as in Idatalink and atoto. Which that was a whole shit showing himself and that's just told me right then and there fuck these people. So to even get everything going and connecting. I couldn't even do that because on the maestro flashing software it was not accepting my serial number for my unit. So right out the gate I'm emailing them telling them what is the exact serial number because what I'm putting in ain't fucking working. As you know it takes forever to get back so I call idatalink tell him what's going on they say oh well I have to input your serial number and put in the catalog so it'll be accepted. Well that's kind of annoying if you guys are in a partnership everything should be pretty straightforward and I shouldn't be having to make this phone call with you. So get that squashed I'm able to flash the module. When atoto gets back about the serial number guess what they have the nerve to say. You're going to have to reach out to them and their support to get it figured out. For one already got a situated for two why the fuck do I have to do after work when I shouldn't especially when you're dropping this kind of bread with em. Should have ditched him them. Then it's just ongoing no solutions nothing's getting fixed constant run around. To where I just have to say let's just cut the shit and get down to it. You're telling me there's a known bug you don't know how to fix the damn boat there's no ETA on when it could be fixed or if it'll ever be fixed. What the fuck does that mean you told me to buy this thing. I've been waiting since May to get shit fixed and you're telling me this but yet you want me to wait some more man fuck no. Like who would even do that drop this amount of money on something you say shit's fucked up you know it's fucked up and don't know when it'll be unfucked up. But just hold on a little bit longer for me. What's ironic on the flip side looks like they pulled the whole X10 line from the website Amazon and everything. That's not weird at all.
So again as I said before people jump in here and say it's fucking Chinese what do you expect. Well I expect to get a little bit back out of the money I'm dropping on you guys that's not a little bit of money by any means. And then some will say get you an Alpine get you a Kenwood blah blah blah. Yeah okay so I get those that are maybe a tad bit more bougie but even more limited. And you're supposed to own these things but they're not going to let you dig deep into the settings and do what you want with it. Even though in the fine print it says if you fuck with it and fiddle with it that and void my warranty. Okay cool I'm telling you I'm going to take the risk let me fiddle with it. Na we can't do that. Whether you go with them mainstream brand or Chinese brand it's always some type of fuckery in a different way.
Anyway rant over not sure what I'm going to do very obvious what needs to be done but I want a fucking good radio and get what I paid for without the dumb shit.
So tired of dealing coils and stupid shit with puffco and Carta. I'm not had one goddamn issue with the sapphire inserts. From battery life to just overall usage. It's a no brainer. Aeris Carta2 and peak pro. Don't even know why I keep trying hold on to em. Literally just a money pit. From coils to wasting content. It's like what the fuck. And I've abused the fuck out of my switch 2. Can't stop it. Doesn't miss a beat. That being said I found a switch Go for a 260 new. 🤝
Going with dudu7. Shits annoying. Constant known bugs with no solutions always were working on it. And x10 is the bougie line. Wild. Over 1k invested in this HU alone. From maestro rr2 to the stupid power adapter. UI is janky. How the hell is the a5l interface miles ahead then the flagships. The v10 shits on this x10. Mad I swapped it 🤦.
