Update: She’s still at-large

Source: I live close to where she was last reportedly seen and this morning on my way to work, Worcester cops were stopping cars to ask questions and give out this flier.

If you see her, don’t approach/confront and call the police!

Alternate Jamaican Pikachu

Hey all! You’ve heard of Jamaica no problem Pikachu, now here’s… a sleepy Pikachu that got branded with JAMAICA on the side.

I went to Jamaica earlier this year with my partner, and when I saw this in the gift shop my eyes bugged out of my head. It was so stupid and so funny, I had to have it!

Fast forward to our day leaving Jamaica and I saw the classic Jamaican pikachu and lots of others as well, but I’d already gotten this guy so I skipped the rest. I kinda wish I didn’t! But I still got this weirdo. He now sits (lays?) high on a bookshelf with Abra sitting on him.

Hope you like it!

Retro-color Mew! [OC]

Hi everyone!

I'm sharing my recently finished crochet project, a large Mew inspired by Mew's color scheme/model from Pokémon Snap 64, Pokémon Stadium 64, and old Ken Sugimori art from the late 90's/early 00's.

I made it by hand by combining two patterns and doing my own alterations (Pattern 1 which is free, and Pattern 2 on Etsy, for purchase. I am not either of these creators and am not affiliated with them FYI). Materials: I used a large "cake" of "color changing" chenille yarn (goes from very pale purple/pink to dark), felt for the eyes and paw pads, and yarn for the outline of the eyes, eyebrows, and to give the illusion of separate fingers and toes.

I don't see this color scheme of Mew expressed or celebrated much at all these days and thought it was always so gorgeous, so here is my tribute to this version of my favorite Pokémon :)

Hope you like it!

Retro-color Mew! [OC]

Hi everyone! I'm sharing my recently finished crochet project, a large Mew inspired by Mew's color scheme/model from Pokémon Snap 64, Pokémon Stadium 64, and old Ken Sugimori art from that time. I made it by hand by mixing two patterns and doing my own alterations (Pattern 1 which is free, and Pattern 2 on Etsy). I thought of pixel art when I worked on the color gradients (I don't have an airbrush😅). Also, this is my third Mew I've made so far and at this size (the other two are the classic pink version).

I don't see this old color scheme of Mew expressed or celebrated much at all and thought it was always so gorgeous, so here is my tribute to this version of my favorite Pokémon :) Hope you like it!
