Hello lovely community, asking for some help with the above sweater pattern.
I am making the size 4. I have knit both sleeves already, and have now finished the main body of the sweater.

I have 280 stitches plus 2 stitches one at the beginning of the round and one on the middle so 282 stitches in total.
I am confused with the final stages of the pattern so I am hoping someone can explain to me in layman’s terms what I have to do next.

Pattern says as follows (page 3)

Break yarn.(DONE) Move sts and place the centre 44 sts from both front and back on separate stitch holders (the front and back are identical).

Now work each shoulder back and forth separately. Join yarn from the RS after the center stitches on either the front or back.

Work 3 rows in established pattern while binding off 1 at at the beginning of each row. This means you will work one WS row in stranded colour work (the 2nd of these rows).

Next row (WS) is worked in col A only: bind off 1 at, p to end.
Next row (RS): k to side st, bind off the side st, k to end.
You now have 46 sts on either side of the bound-off side st.

Place the sts on either side of the side st on seperate stitch holders, and work the other shoulder the same way.

Do I include the marked centre and middle stitches in these 44 stitches?
Do I knit the shoulders on straight needles rather than on my circular needles (the pattern didn’t ask for straight needles just circular and dbl point for the sleeves and neck).
I’ve got to steek the armhole which is down the marked centre stitches I presume?

What is this? [Swansea, Wales, UK]

Obviously a type of porpoise or dolphin - about a meter to a meter and a half long.

Hi all,
I live locally to Cefn coed and walk my dog there daily. As of a few days ago there are fences all around and signs up restricting public access.
Does anyone know what’s going on and whether this is permanent? I know they’ve have trouble recently with trespassers so I wonder whether it’s to do with that?
