An absolutely stunning royal walnut moth I found while on a little stroll in central Pennsylvania (:

Who is the dude?

He's been living on my dill for the last week or so. From what I understand he will eventually be some type of geometer moth but I can't seem to figure out the exact type. I know there's a ton of geometer moths so forgive my ignorance, but is there any way to positively tell which type of moth this will eventually turn into?

As stated above he lives on my dill (along with a bunch of swallowtail caterpillars!!). Located in Central Pennsylvania.

Carolina Horsenettle

I recently found a patch of carolina horsenettle growing on part of our property. It is native to my area (central Pennsylvania) but I see it is classified as a noxious weed in much of the country because it's really aggressive and highly toxic. It is actually in an area where I am planning to put a native pollinator garden, but I'm unsure if i should leave it be or try to minimize it. I don't want it to just completely dominate everything I plant.

If I leave it be will it become a problem? What would you do in a situation where a plant is native but considered noxious?

Will building a ~crow bar~ keep the crows from my other bird feeders?

I have a couple of crows that visit my bird feeder. I absolutely love seeing them but they dig through the feeder to get to the good stuff and dump out everything else. Literally same day that I fill it, they empty it. I can't afford to be refilling my feeder once a day. Will building a specific feeder just for the crows (so putting stuff they really like) deter them from rooting through my other feeders? Or will it simply make my problems worse by setting their expectations so high. Picture included of today's culprit 🧐

I noticed they're mostly after the peanuts and the mealworms so I did get a seed mix that doesn't have any to try and deter them as well, but like I said, I do actually want them around!

Central Pennsylvania. Sorry I couldn't get a better picture. We have a TON of these bees on our porch but can't figure out where they're coming from. I normally wouldn't really care about them but one stung my toddler on the neck unprovoked which has now made me declare war.
