Has anyone used the KitchenAid Pure Power Stand Mixer for Indian cooking?

Hi everyone,

We’re planning to buy the KitchenAid Pure Power Stand Mixer and wanted to know if it’s suitable for Indian cooking.

Specifically, can it handle:
Dosa/idli batter
Coconut chutney
Other wet grinding tasks

I understand it may not be suitable for dry grinding spices or masalas, and that’s completely fine. My main concern is whether it can do wet grinding well and produce smooth batters and chutneys.

If anyone owns this model, especially Indians living abroad who use it for Indian cooking, I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience.
Would you recommend it, or should I look at another appliance?
Thanks in advance!

Light, stupid-funny books

I’m looking for recommendations for silly, funny, low-concentration books.

The closest examples I can think of are books by George Carlin and Karl Pilkington. What I like about them is that they feel like you’re hanging out with a funny person rather than reading a “proper” book. You can read a few pages, put it down, pick it up again later, and you never feel lost.

I’m not looking for the usual recommendations that come up in every humor thread, such as The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Me Talk Pretty One Day, A Confederacy of Dunces, etc.

They’re good books, but they’re not what I’m after right now.
I’d especially like books written by:
-Stand-up comedians
-TV/radio personalities
-Celebrities with a genuinely funny voice
-People from completely unrelated fields who happen to be hilarious

Memoirs, essay collections, travel books, random observations, or books that are
basically just funny rambling are all welcome.

The key requirement is that they’re easy reads that don’t require much concentration and are entertaining from page one.
What books come to mind?

This mission still lives rent-free in my head

Came across this earlier and couldn’t stop laughing — the chaos, the failure, the Big Smoke rage lol
