Why do my curls web?
It seems like no matter what I do, I get this weird webbing texture. Not to mention the fact that it’s incredibly dry and rough. This time I use amika hydrorush shampoo and condish, Camille rose curl love leave in, doux CSC mousse and wetline gel. Air dried. The hold seemed promising at the time. I don’t understand why I struggle with this when my curls aren’t hard to define in the first place.
At this point, I’ve tried everything: strong hold, soft hold, botanical gels, mousses, deep conditioners, protein treatments, clarifying shampoos, chelating shampoos, conditioning with heat, conditioning with steam, loc method, lco method, and the list goes on…
I might just be a straight natural from now on. I love my curls. I’ve worn my curls my whole life, but after 30 years there should be no more “figuring out” to do. It should just be maintenance now.
