I wish people understood that “just joking” can still hurt

A few days ago at work, everyone was ordering food. I said I wasn't hungry and didn't want anything. That should have been the end of it.Instead, people kept asking what was wrong with me, telling me I should eat something, and making little jokes about how I was “being difficult.” I laughed it off at first because I didn't want to make things awkward. But one comment hit a nerve and I ended up getting emotional in front of everyone.I didn't explain my whole history to them because I don't think I should have to. There are personal reasons why certain situations around food make me uncomfortable, and people have no idea what someone might be dealing with privately. The person who made the joke apologized afterward, which I appreciated. I just wish people understood this soon.If someone says no to food, just accept it. You don't need to convince them, question them, or turn it into a joke.

AITH for refusing to cover for my brother after he broke a promise?

My brother asked me to cover for him because he had promised our parents he would take care of something important while they were away. He told me it would only take a little while, so I agreed to help him out.The problem is that he completely disappeared and left everything for me to deal with. When my parents came back, he told them that I had agreed to handle everything and that he had never promised to do it himself.I was honestly frustrated because I only helped him because I trusted what he told me. When he asked me to lie and tell our parents that his version was true, I refused. He got angry and said I was making him look bad over something "small."Now he's saying I'm selfish for not having his back. I feel like I shouldn't have to lie just because he doesn't want to take responsibility.

AITA for refusing to cover for him?

He really thought he had the right person

I got a call from someone claiming to be from my bank. He said there was suspicious activity on my account and that I needed to confirm a few details before they could “secure” it. I immediately knew something was off because he had my name completely wrong. I told him he had the wrong person, but he kept insisting that his information was correct. Then he asked me to confirm my address. I gave him a completely fake one. He started reading it back to me like he had just proven his point, so I said, “Yep, that's definitely not where I live.” There was a long silence. He finally said, “Okay... I think there has been a mistake.” I said, “I think so too,” and hung up. They called back twice after that, but I didn't answer. I don't know if I changed anything, but wasting a scammer's time for a few minutes was satisfying enough.
