How does roaming work for Sidephone? I travel frequently for work so having a singular dumb-ish device for everyday use that I knew would work most anywhere would be very nice. I saw from the website that it doesn't have any Google apps which is fine by me, but was wondering if anyone's managed to use a Google Fi SIM after activating it in a regular Android phone? Same if anyone's successfully used Tello on it.

I know it's a potato, I'm under no allusions that it'll play HLA or Beat Saber or something. But I am a bit of a curious tickerer and collector of weird momentos and am wondering if it is worth something in that context. Like, does its famous demo with the cute little robot and the VHS-looking tapes still work? (Perhaps I'm getting mixed up which headset that's on?) Could someone feasibly upgrade the dev kit a la getting an LCD screen for your Gameboy Color? I'm open to ideas.
