Hi all, need help wrt TDS.
I purchased a under construction flat in Bangalore and since the flat has multiple owners, we weren’t aware that TDS needs to be paid from each owners PAN.
Only primary owner paid the entire TDS.
When we got to know about this, we filed 26QB correction and now our form 26QB correction was done. When I try to file TDS from my wife’s account for past installments, it is charging hefty penalty as late fees.
Does someone know what can be done here? Since TDS was paid on time and IT department didn’t suffer revenue loss, how can I skip this late payment fees?
