Yami, he had a talent. He was able to hide himself, his emotions, to the outside. Of course, everyone has limits. This is why, when he's alone, sometimes he just...lets himself go.
It's easy to predict when he does. But...this whole mess at Xavier's...umbra and Rictor's use of drugs...umbra's use of EMPs...it filled him faster than he expected. He almost let it out while umbra was there.
Truth is, every time that cursed word was spoken, "drug", his mind flashed back to that day. He could almost see it, that man's face, holding a machine gun. Right off it went, his arm, blown off. In those occasions, he could barely refrain from holding what he now considers his arm.
As for the EMPs...dark fears light, fire fears water, nanotechnology fears...you get it.
And so he sat on a corner of his room, quietly staring into nothingness, a faint humidity in his eyes. His prostethic absent, as were the nanites usually woven in his clothing. He had no focus to maintain either.

With all the drug related problems in his friend group weighting him down, yami felt like he needed to distract himself. He left a note on his room's door, warning that he was in the woods. Then, he walked into the woods of the mansion, and located the place he had trained at the day before.
"kick off the tree, catch the branch, roll at the landing"
He repeated to himself, before trying to do exactly that. Like the day before, he got the jump and catch perfectly, but missed the landing. He looked at the bleeding spot on his arm, and covered it in nanites.
"i jumped too late, i think"
He tried again. He managed to roll, but not without hurting his back. Once again, he covered his wound.
After some hours had passed, multiple spots on his left arm and his legs were partially covered. And that's only what wasn't hidden by the clothes.
Yami stepped in the danger room. He was in absolutely no mood to train, but ronin asked him, saying he managed to do something cool the night before.
[the danger room can do anything, correct?]
"that's what it tends to do, yes"
With a few buttons, the room turned into a city
[i found out that, with enought data, it can replicate people, with some limits of course]
"that...is precisely what anything means"
He heard a growl from behind. And when he turned, he saw...a white creature, with cyan eyes

"how..."
[you said you wanted to learn to use the same tricks your "out of control" mode used, didn't you? What better than to learn straight from the source?]

[no, i'm an AI]
Without even answering that comment, he formed a staff. His mood shifted. It was time to train.
Yami's room was...wrecked. Rictor had just puffed Kick in a fit of paranoia, and almost killed him, but before that yami luckily managed to send a message to Shatterstar
Then, Umbra arrived and sent him to the darkrealm. The question is now...what do we do?
A message appeared on yami's computer. He sat down, and red it. It was from Master, regarding the drug Umbra had created. He had sent a sample so that it could be analyzed...and the result of that analysis came.
Yami: i see...[diode]. Ronin call me Aizaru, he need to see this
[roger that]
Ooc: just so nobody thinks i'm crazy, the [diode] is basically ronin censoring yami's swears
Yami sat on his desk, on his computer. His room was troughtly illuminated, for no shadow to be made. Despite his attention, the door was open. On the screen, the programming for an app to track a...well...tracker.
He was...angry. Angry that Umbra, someone that he knew, was almost killed. But why?
"i don't get it" [don't get what?] "why would anyone want to fight the anti mutants" [i don't know either, but if i had to theorize...it's because they hate mutants] "so you just go around proving them right?" [...] [what?] "they believe mutants to be monsters. If you go around killing them...are they wrong?" [and what do you suggest then? Talking?] "of course not. Would you buy something solely because you saw it on an AD?" [so what's the solution?]
Indeed...what is the solution? And was there even one? He...had never need to think of one, mainly because he never experienced anti mutant hate. When he was little, his town's people were anti mutant...but...for some reason, they stopped. He honestly didn't care about why, he never asked, and he was too little to remember what they actually did, but seeing as his parents were chill with them, he always assumed it meant nothing bad ever happened. Whatever happened there, might be the solution
"i think i know it. They're scared, no? Because they don't know us...you saw Cittadina, didn't you? Maybe the reason they stopped, is because they got to know a mutant, that being me?" [but your fathe-] "he never revealed it BECAUSE they were still hateful...but he did after" [so how do you propose this would work?]
Right, of course. That was the problem...would it work? Would meeting, knowing mutants work?
"it wouldn't" [you're right. Gay, black, even just different religions. We know them prenty] "humans hate the different too, not just the unknown" [so, what now?] "there's nothing, that's what"
[where did this conversation lead us to, then?] "nowhere...as long as humanity stays like it is, no large scale change will ever be possible"
[so you just propose...doing nothing?] "i don't propose it, it's just the only thing possible"
Ooc: woke up, felt philosophical. Probably nothing i just said makes actual sense though. Anyone feel free to argue with yami, at any point of the discussion cause, as i said, the door was unlocked
Yami entered the kitchen. Back in italy, his father taught him some recipes, and so he wanted to test them
"alright ronin, let's do...uh...catalana?"
[sure, let's do it]
He opened various closets, took the necessary ingredients, made a pair of knives and spun them
"let's be-"
[why have you made knives, you don't need knives to cook this]
"...shut up"
He deconstructs the knives, and begins the process
2 hours or so later, it's done
"aight..."
He sends a message to everyone: "whoever wants to taste something, come to the kitchen"
Ooc: everyone free to interact, even those yami doesn't know.
Yami opened the doors to the common room and entered. He was gone without a word for a week...thought he appears to be...refreshed?
"alright people i'm back! Got back to Italy to spend some time with my family, and of course to protect my 7 year standing best waiter title and man did i need a pause"
he looks around

Ooc: got banned for 3 days from reddit because its AI system is totally working properly with a 0% mistake rate. Obviously, this was sarcasm, but yeah now i'm back so...yeah👍

Finally figured out how hero forge works, so i finally have a way to show how yami looks
Some notes:
Yami's civilian outfit. Seeing as his sense of fashion and color coordination is...quite bad, let's say, he puts a thin layer of nanites on what he wears to change the color scheme to his signature black and yellow
His hero costume. Nothing much to say, just that it's pretty obvious that i'm heavily inspired by the superhero "Ronin" (from marvel comics) in aesthetics
What happens when yami gets exhausted. His currently deployed nanites dissolve and he loses to ability to generate more for a while, thus returning his clothes to their natural color. Seeing as his prosthetic is made of his own nanites, it vanishes too.
