Upgrade!

So I was gifted my first turntable for Christmas 2025 which was a Lenco LS-100WD that comes with its own speakers. Used it for 5 months and already wanted an upgrade. So I sold it and used the money to buy a used Technics SL-1500 MK1 turntable, Q Acoustics 3020i and a Yamaha AX-396 Amplifier. Sounds Awesome and very happy, this will be my set up for a long long time. Upgraded the cartridge to an Audio Technica 95E/M.

What do y’all think?

Hi guys, I got my first turntable for Christmas from my father which is a Lenco LS-100WD. I have bonky recently gotten into vinyls. However i want to have a better set up and crisper sound.

I have been eying up the Audio Technica LP120XUSB which looks great and I’ve been asking ChatGPT if it’s a good upgrade. However I came across the Technics turntables and I am eying up a used SL-D2 on eBay for a similar price £250 as the LP120. I don’t have a pre amp or speakers either so would have to get those regardless but I’d just like to know which I should go for. The LP120 is safe since I can get it new. But the SL-D2 though used is in good condition but always nervous with an eBay purchase.

Thank you 🙏🏾
