Marker removal

Not sure if this is the right place or not but hoping to get some help with this one!

I’ve recently acquired this vest to use for some hobby stuff (reenactment) and got a good deal on it due to the amount of modern graffiti on it.

The graffiti is definitely period original and so I’m looking at removing it.

Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions to try and get it out? As best as I can tell the graffiti seems to be done with some kind of marker, and the shell of the vest should be a tight weave cotton poplin (I believe).

I had read that acetone or isopropyl alcohol could be used to reactivate and remove the ink and while it is working it’s also bleaching the green from the vest (see the heavily faded patch on the back).

So, does anyone have any recommendations that might work without stripping the green?

Trucks and hardware help

Is this hardware salvageable? Or start from scratch?

Some context:

Recently I’ve been looking to get into skating, I’ve wanted to give it a go for a while and ended up lucking my way into a decent brand new birdhouse deck for cheap and figured may as well.

My dad used to skate in the late 90s/early-mid 2000s (i think he stopped by about 2010 but could be wrong) and I still have his board (pictured in this post) with everything on it.

The deck itself is shot, but I’m wondering if the rest of the parts are able to be salvaged and used? Or am I better off just starting from scratch?

Trying to avoid spending a heap of money right away if I can avoid it, and the board has some sentimental value so getting to use the same parts dad used would be a nice touch.
