Autism eval
My son age 5 just got a autism diagnosis at lvl 3 which is confusing me. He does not have any behavioral problems, goes to school, rides the bus, potty trained for about 3 years now. Knows how to behave for the most part. Has some understanding of what you tell him. Makes eye contact. Some toe walking no hand flapping. But we have a huge language delay. School has been good for him and that part is getting better as days go on but it’s an extremely slow process. We do well out in public no issues taking him anywhere. Several college football games. Does cover his ears from time to time but seems to be a I don’t want to be part of this kinda deal. Definitely a picker eater but idk what 5 year old isn’t. He does well with anyone changes in the routine are not a serious issue for him. He like and does well with routine but a change is not an issue. I’m just lost on the severity of the level 3 and looking for some clarification or a success story with a language delay issue.
