Hey everyone,

​I have a severe dust mite allergy (Class 6), and I am forced to sleep long-term on an older fold-out fabric couch.

​Here is the situation:

​The couch: It's an older model with thick, upholstered fabric armrests and a tall, bulky backrest (not just a flat mattress).

​The setup: I sleep on a relatively new mattress topper placed on top of the unfolded couch.

​The limitations: I cannot replace or reupholster the couch right now, and I don't own a HEPA vacuum at the moment.

​I want to completely isolate myself from the allergens and prevent the couch from triggering morning congestion and asthma/allergy flares.

Air Purifiers: Which purifier brand/model actually made a noticeable difference for your breathing and sleep in a room of this size? How often do you replace HEPA filters to keep symptoms down?

Bedding Encasements & Pillows: Which specific allergen-proof encasements (Evolon, Pristine, Protect-A-Bed, etc.) or pillows actually work best?

Cleaning & Sprays: Do you use anti-mite sprays (like Allergoff/Acaril) or laundry additives that make a real difference?
