This roster is not meant to be good, or meant to make people happy, this rosters goal is to shrink the smash ultimate roster as much as possible without cutting a single character and i would love help shrinking the roster even more with idea's but this is mine

most are self explanatory being turned into skins or merged but Chrom and robin is based on their relationship in awakening and the fact Chrom is already part of Robins ult, and both Yoshi and Diddy are turned into recovery's for the first 2 characters on the roster

also the rules i went by were that they have to make sense move set wise and they have to make sense character wise on why their together so no merging echoes like marth and lucina who have little to no relation and no merging ryu and ken who play differently unless you have a unique idea that makes sense

For this roster the first page is the base roster, while sentry is a bonus/pre order character, the third page is skins used and unlocked through the story (or for cap you need to beat the story), then page 4 is dlc with 4 characters and 2 skins per wave

rules: every series must have 2 characters, and I can only add new characters if they only have 1 (echo fighters do not count)

This was kind of difficult for some series but i just wanted to address some of these, the returning characters has one small stretch i made, i fused chrom and robin since i feel together they work very well together, and a awaking rep had to be here anyway, then the second thing, third parties here may upset people because i focused on villains, and specifically ones that would be unique enough (aside from pacman, bayonetta, and dragon quest due to lack of experience with the series). Feel free to talk about your changes

honestly the 2 biggest issues were balancing Pokémon generations where most are gen 1 and the choice between trainer, Pikachu, and Mewtwo was hard, then the second issue was fire emblem because the best choice would be Marth, Chrom and Robin, but both are from awakening so it was choosing the perfect male swordfighter being a great mix of the others or the most unique fire emblem rep and i ultimately chose Chrom.
