What was the first moment you realised you didn't quite "fit" here?

Not the big awakening. The small, early one. A thought you had as a kid that the adults around you couldn't answer, or a feeling at a family gathering that you were watching from slightly outside. For a lot of people that first crack shows up years before they have any language for it. What was yours, and how old were you?

does anyone else feel like modern life quietly erased "the wisdom of elders" and we didnt notice

most traditional cultures had a built in role for elders as spiritual/practical guides. and now most older people i know get treated as kind of irrelevant, tech illiterate, out of touch. what did we lose by doing that, and is there a way to rebuild it without it being fake or performative

the dogon/sirius b knowledge, has anyone actually dug into this or is it debunked at this point

so the dogon people supposedly had detailed knowledge of sirius b (the companion star, invisible to naked eye) way before western astronomy confirmed it. i know there's a whole debate about whether this info got "planted" by a french researcher in the 30s vs being genuinely ancestral. genuinely curious what the informed take is here bc every source i find has an agenda one way or the other

Why does the disclosure timeline always start at Roswell when basically every culture has some version of "beings from the sky taught us something"?

Been thinking about this a lot. Every disclosure timeline I see starts in 1947 like that's when this whole thing began. But if you actually look at oral traditions, mythology, ancient texts, basically everywhere, there's some version of "something not human showed up and gave us knowledge." Feels like we keep treating this as a Cold War era phenomenon when the actual pattern is way older and way more global. Anyone else notice this or am I overthinking it?

Western consciousness research starts with the individual mind. Growing up, I was taught the opposite starting point.

Grew up & still live in South Africa around Ubuntu philosophy, basically 'I am because we are.' Consciousness and identity weren't really seen as something that lives inside one person, more like something that only really exists between people. Every time I read consciousness research it still starts from the individual mind and works outward, which always struck me as kind of backwards compared to what I grew up around. Anyone come across models that start from connection instead of the self? Genuinely curious if that holds up against what you all think.

I keep finding old African star lore that sounds exactly like modern UAP reports, is anyone else researching this overlap?

I've spent time learning the older star lore from Southern Africa, stories about sky beings and non human visitors that predate any modern UFO language by centuries. It's not treated as 'disclosure,' it's just old oral tradition. Has anyone else looked into indigenous sky being mythology and found it lines up with what modern UAP researchers are describing?

The West is having a spiritual awakening. Where I grew up, it never went to sleep.

I was born & still live in South Africa for the last 55 years & known about elders and sangomas who talked about ancestor contact and 'downloads' the same way people now describe channeling except none of it was ever treated as new.

Genuine question: how much of the 'awakening' movement is actually just Western culture catching up to things other cultures never stopped knowing?
