First-time printer buyer: which ink-tank printer should I get? ₹18k budget, 500–1500 pages/year
First-time printer buyer looking for some advice.
Requirements:
- Print + Scan + Copy
- Ink tank + Wi-Fi
- Email printing / print from anywhere is a must
- Auto duplex and ADF are optional
- Home use, around 500–1,500 pages/year
- Budget up to ₹18k, but I don't want to pay for unnecessary features.
Considering:
- Brother: DCP-T436W ₹12.8k / DCP-T535DW ₹16.5k
- HP: Smart Tank 589 ₹12k / 580 ₹15k / 670 ₹17k
- Epson: EcoTank L3352 ₹14.3k
- Open to comparable Canon models too.
I'm also confused about Epson's piezoelectric printhead vs thermal printheads used by other brands. Does piezo offer any meaningful advantage in reliability, print quality, longevity, or clogging?
Which brand/model would you recommend based on real-world experience, especially regarding reliability, printhead issues, service, software and remote printing?
I live in a metro city and have service centres for all these brands nearby.
Thanks!
