American Bittern in Winnipeg, Manitoba taken on phone. Didn't land long enough for me to get a good photo unfortunately. Went back with my camera 5 minutes later and it stayed in the woods and couldn't get a photo

you can just see white on its tail. I would say it was Robin sized

I was thinking a purple martin but I have no idea
