Free Auto Show in Cudahy on Saturday - Donations for Highschool Arts and Tech

Come see some beautiful cars and enjoy the beautiful weather tomorrow in Cudahy! I believe the VW club as well as many local enthusiasts plan to be there.

The school borders on Sheridan Park, which has access to the lakefront and a beautiful stretch of the Oak Leaf trail too.

Tattoos - Power Level and Flavor

I have a party with an unusual number of monks and other non-weapon classes. Specifically:
Two monks, one unarmed fighter, one chicken-rider beastmaster, two spell-focused bards, and a wizard. None of them care about weapons, and only half wear armor. I do have a rogue and echo knight who use both.

As a result, I have been dabbling in magical tattoos, originally for the two monks. However in our most recent session we had a run-in with a pirate crew, and I felt it was a great time to introduce a few more tattoos for general use.

Now I'm wondering why I didn't use these before - they can fit on anyone and the opportunity for subtlety or elaborate design is endless. Mechanically, they use an attunement slot and can be un-tattoo'ed and transferred easily (per Tasha's rules).

Have you started incorporating tattoos? Any advantages or pitfalls? If anyone is interested, I can share the new designs.

EDIT: Here's my favorite simple one.

Lovestruck Tattoo

Requires Attunement
The simple heart-shaped tattoo looks like it was made with a fish-hook and sour ale.  A faded name in the center of the heart is illegible, but the broken arrow is definitive - it didn’t end well.

  • Hardened Heart: You gain +5 to your maximum hitpoints.
  • Love Strikes Back: Once per short rest when you succeed on a melee attack, you may deal an additional 2d4 psychic damage and gain that much life.

Air-Cool Porsche Engine - Independent cylinder design

The 911 SC engine I rebuilt is done in stages:

  1. The "short block" encases the crankshaft and oil pump on the auxiliary shaft.

  2. Six cylinders mount on the block, torqued with special long studs.

  3. Six cylinder heads contain the intake and exhaust valves.

  4. Two cam towers, one for each bank, contain the camshafts that operate the valves.

  5. A chain case fits on each bank, holding a tensioned chain that runs from the auxiliary shaft to that bank's crankshaft.

That's just the main engine - the fuel and air delivery is another system, such as Carbs or CIS.
