This has happened both on Tomodachi Life Living the Dream and now twice Pokopia (picture taken by my phone during the second occurrence)
I had to hold down the power button to get it to turn off, and then back on again. The first time I was able to finish what I was doing and switch to Pokopia; the second time, not even five minutes
All three times had this weird grainy pattern and parts of the screen colour inverted, along with flashing. No consistent action (pressed button or in-game action) before the issue
Ao3 literally has one of the best tagging systems so people can find what they're looking for and filter out what they're not. Yet behold shit like this.
Nothing is tagged other than the fact that they've chosen not to use archive warnings.
And then there are the trigger warnings, aka shit that should have been in the tags. And with two of them, they couldn't even properly fucking spell them.
First, these stupid alt spellings don't protect anyone, we can all still see that it says child abuse and dark thoughts. It's not going to avoid triggering anyone, if anything, it's going to make it way the fuck worse because now instead of being able to filter it out, it's going to pop up in their search because they have the Child Abuse tag blocked, and not "CH¡[D @ BUSE" blocked
Second, Why the fuck would I want to read your story featuring dark thoughts and child abuse if you're too afraid to even spell it right. We aren't dealing with Social Media's 'We gotta treat everyone like babies so we don't upset the advertisers' filters here, we can and should be using the proper words
Three, fucking 'dark thoughts' is too much? This vague-ass shit is too much. Unfucking believable
We need to stop letting Puritains onto the internet. These people find fucking milk spicy and need to grow a spine
