TIL This is scene from "Apex" wasn't written to have music. Taron Egerton wouldn't stop saying it needed music. He picked the song and improvised the dance and the squawks on set. These changes basically made the movie.

Widow's Bay is freaking awesome!

Apple TV has constructed a show that can switch from horror to comedy at the drop of a hat. Its compelling, scary, interesting and hilarious. If you aren't watching this you are seriously missing out. It's one of the best shows I have ever seen and is easily becoming the best thing on Apple TV.

The show is basically like a dark comedy set on an island that is basically like how Stephen King uses Derry Maine. The island has a long dark history of super bad things happening on it. Every week seems to be tackling a new form of Horror Genre. This weeks was the slasher genre. It basically follows three people dealing with these things since the island has woken back up. The Mayor played by Matthew Rhys. The town drunk played by Stephen Root. A lady that works at the Mayor's office played by Kate O'Flynn. It has been mostly directed by Atlanta's Hiro Murai. He did the "Teddy Perkins" episode of Atlanta and this show is using that vibe a lot.

Started the game over last night and noticed two things... [Spoilers]

First the game starts where it ends with Bond almost drowning underwater. Didn't notice that at the end when it happened a second time.

Second, When Bond is shown the MI6's AI overlord by M at the very beginning of the game. Bond says "So it made a mistake?". LMAO

Seriously, the writing on this game is a lot better than I figured it would be. It's really surprising.

So... what's the deal with Scream 7? [Spoilers]

I watched Scream 7 yesterday and I have questions. I have honestly liked all of these movies. They are dumb fun and I have been watching them since they started. But this one was odd.

People have been wanting Stu to come back properly since the first movie. I say properly because he cameoed in 2, 3, 4 & 6. Hell I was the same way, I have always been down to see Matthew Lillard again in these movies good and proper. So this one starts like the others but then Syd gets a video call from Stu. His face is all fucked up like hes been super fucked up by a TV and its healed and hes really pissed off. Then they build this story that he had been in mental asylum since the first movie with amnesia and was just let out. Fine... perfect. Bring him back its what the fans want and it would be fun. Then the movie goes off the rails. Suddenly Stu is just dead and hes being deep faked by some crazy bitch that read Syd's book. Like the end of this movie doesn't make any fucking sense. None of the killers were even close to Syd. They didn't fit the pattern of the other films. The killer reveal was just lackluster as fuck and of course in typical hollywood fashion "If this guy is deep faked, let's bring all the old killers back" in a very idiotic fucking scene.

So why would they build a movie around bringing back Stu and then piss all over it at the last second? Why did Syd's boyfriend have a perfect high resolution deep fake of Scar Stu on his computer if he was innocent? Why did Syd stand in the middle of the road watching her daughter on camera and not go save her? How did Joel McHale get stabbed seventy million times and somehow still live?

Like seriously... what the hell was the ending of this movie. Did they do reshoots or something? It feels so goddamn dumb. It was leading one place for 80% of the movie and then the end was like completely different. I just don't understand what the hell they were thinking?

Edit : I forgot a question..

I bought this on a whim over the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. The action was solid and shot super well. The performances were great. The direction and cinematography were outstanding. I was also surprised that the trailer didn't give away the actual plot of the movie. Its rare a film actually holds back the big reveal like they did here. Didn't see it coming at all.

Oh and seriously that darkness flaming fire axe fight scene was so fucking dope. When she lit that axe on fire and went back into that dark room and the music slowly starts ramping up as she fucks up the entire room of baddies. I watched that shit three damn times.
