Globus file transfer for transfering large amount of MEA recording data

About to start a collaborative work with a collaborator from another country.

They will send me a multi-electrode array (MEA) recording data (.h5 format).
Total data may be approx 2 TB.

Recently, I found Globus file transfer made by the University of Chicago; the NIH also recommends it for large file transfer.

My questions are:

  1. Is Globus the best method for file transfer?
  2. Have you used Globus?
  3. Other methods?

Thank you in advance

My Right Instep is Thicker than my Left because ok Kicking?

Context:
Started kickboxing about 1.5 years ago. Train about 3 times per week (1.5-2 hours each session).

Recently, I bought a new pair of clogs, and the right one is significantly tighter than the left one in the instep area. Then I just realised after feeling it that my right one is thicker.

Question:
My question is for someone who has the same problem and trains a lot more than I do.

  1. Is it a common thing to happen?
  2. Will it cause a health problem in the future?
  3. Kick more with the left leg so it is somewhat balanced?

Thank you in advance
Best regards

Is it a big deal if the editor of my manuscript is a big shot?

I recently found out that the editor assigned to my manuscript is a well-known name in my field, and I'm curious how much that actually matters in practice. A couple of things I'm wondering about:

  1. Does having a prominent/expert editor make the process harder, since they're likely busier and may hold submissions to a higher standard compared to a less well-known editor?
  2. If the paper does get accepted and published, does having a "big name" editor add any extra weight to the accomplishment, or does it not really factor into how the work is perceived afterward?

Would love to hear from anyone who's been through this, especially if you've noticed a difference in turnaround time, scrutiny, or how the publication was received afterward.

Tudor Ranger Dial Numbers Look a Bit Wonky

Seriously considering buying the Ranger. Been doing my research for weeks and I'm pretty close to pulling the trigger.

But one thing keeps nagging me from the photos and reviews I've seen. The "12" at the top of the dial. The "1" and "2" don't sit at the same height. It's subtle but it's there. Looks like the pad printing shifted slightly. Someone in a YouTube comment said it looks like a kid wrote it with a shaky hand and now I can't unsee it in every photo. Also, the 3, 6, and 9 look wonky (better than the 12 tho...).

Is this consistent across all Rangers or did those people just get unlucky with QC? Because at $3,400 I'd expect cleaner printing than this.

I get that painted numerals will never be as consistent as applied markers. The Explorer doesn't have this problem because the indices are physically pressed onto the dial, not printed. But that's also double the price.

So is this just something you accept with the Ranger and stop noticing after a week on the wrist? Or is it genuinely distracting in person?

Would love to hear from actual owners before I commit.

One of the pin/screw was lose on my bracelet (Picture 1).

Then I tried to push it back but failed.

So i remove the pin/screw (Picture 2).

My question is it a simple fix or go to service center? If it is a simple fix, how to do it?

Thank you in advance
