Went camping in Canada for the 4th, made me so happy.

I left the US and went camping in Bruce Peninsula this weekend (2 nights) and it made me so happy. People from all walks of life, so many different nationalities, languages, all enjoying the water and rocks together. I never see this in the Midwest where I live. Being in a diverse campsite, with no confederate flags, I just felt like it truly was people getting along and enjoying nature together. If you haven’t been to The Bruce I highly recommend!

Spotlite / UFO should be a co-op

I’m tired of seeing business owners treat workers poorly, and I’m tired of seeing decent businesses close, erasing valuable third spaces.

drifter, now spotlite, the list goes on.

We need more resources for workers who want to take over the workplaces - because they are the real ones keeping these businesses alive and running.

All over the US workers are getting support to organize and buy businesses from retiring owners, bad owners, etc. we need more of that in Detroit.

If anyone is a service industry worker and wants to talk about worker owned coops for the service industry- hit me up.

Should I work out if I’m sore even if it means I’m not doing as well?

I’ve been enjoying going to Pilates and Lagree, but I’m usually sore for two or three days after. I’d like to still go, but I know I won’t do nearly as well as when I’m not sore. Should I go, or should I do something else like walking? Because it’s a whole body exercise basically my entire body is sore after doing a 50 minute class.

I know I’ll build up the stamina to hopefully go several days a week, but should I push through for now or just do something else when I’m sore?

Picky question about my handmade wedding dress

This is the armhole of the wedding dress I am making. I added interfacing, and my question is should I add bias tape to line the sleeveless armholes? It will add a .25” seam on the front, but will help the armholes have more strength and will be over all better finished garment.

I could also just stitch right against the edge.

6 months in, not happy, seeking advice.

I started compound semaglutide in mid December, at 178 and am now 156. In the beginning I had no side effects, which was great, and I lost about a pound a week. For the last 4-6 weeks, I have not enjoyed myself. I went up a few doses, and am now experiencing hair loss, serious brain fog and fatigue, and depression. I feel so unlike myself. Getting in the shower and seeing my hair basically fall out made me cry. Eating fiber, protein, taking creatinine, D3, and I feel like shit. I haven’t even lost weight in the past feels weeks. I will consult my doctor, but I’m serious considering tapering off. Has anyone felt better after these side effects?

I have a covered sun porch, which is screened in on 3 sides, so some water does get in when it rains. I am tiling the 8x12 room, which is currently painted concrete. I was going to apply a liquid or sheet membrane, but just realized the paint may be an issue. Do I need to strip the paint first? Are there any good (not looking for shortcuts, per se) options to use so I don't have to strip the paint first? The floor is in good shape otherwise, with no cracks and is pretty smooth.
