Learning to Cook: Diary Entry #1 - Gyeran Bap

Hi all! I made gyeran bap today. I've always loved eggs, rice, & soy sauce, so I wanted to try making the staple Korean style after seeing some pictures online that looked delicious.

Fried eggs, short grain rice, and kimchi. I seasoned the rice with some furikake and a little soy sauce. I seasoned the eggs with soy sauce, sesame seeds, green onion - and diverged from the recipe a bit to add chili crisp (wanted a little heat, and the aesthetic value of Lao Gan Ma is off the charts).

Areas which needed improvement: First and foremost, I broke the yolk on my first egg when cracking. Then, either my rice cooker is too big, or I didn't use enough water, but my rice was hard and sticky on the bottom layer (more so than short grain should be). I also forgot to add the butter to the rice until the end, so it didn't spread out as far as I wanted.

Overall rating: 4/5 - for how simple this meal is, it's quite delicious, filling, and comforting. It's no secret at this point, but eggs and rice are a match made in heaven. The yolk mixes well with the rice, fluffing it up and giving it a good texture. Both eggs and rice are excellent vessels for nearly any sauce and seasoning combination you could think of. One part of this meal that I was particularly proud of was adding chili crisp - while this dish certainly wasn't short on aromatics, between the sesame seeds and green onion, the chili crisp added a really pleasing smell to the eggs, and the light heat & subtle flavor elevated the eggs & rice.

Bought Marthym's reward card yesterday and it's making me buy it again?

I can see the transaction in my Steam wallet history, so I know I bought it. What do

Bread pile found in the woods??

Was walking on a path and found this pile of bread at least 25 yards into the woods. There is no parking lot nearby, so someone would have to carry it all the way in and leave it there. Maybe an animal is stashing it but I feel like it’d hide it better?!

Someone made one for Miku already, so I tried to design an Xbox controller with Teto's colors - how'd I do?

Context: I'm a night auditor on a military base. This happened tonight shortly after midnight.

Hi all. Tonight is one of my first shifts alone (usually have a partner), and everything was going pretty smoothly. As midnight came around and the day rolled over, I started the night audit (we use Opera so it takes forever). About 2 minutes in, I get an urgent call from a guest staying at the hotel. He tells me that while he was showering, his kid had left the room. I felt that this was a time-sensitive situation, and the night audit was still running, so I told the guest to start searching from the his floor and meet me in the middle, and I left the desk without signing out of the computers. I searched all 5 floors and finally returned to the desk after 10 minutes and no sign of him or the kid anywhere. Upon trying to call the guest back twice, I was sent to voicemail each time.

My question - did I get played into leaving the computers unattended?

Edit: I feel like I have no choice but to report this to my boss, but I think there's a very high chance I'll get fired if I mention that I left the computers unlocked. Advice?
