McMansions Explained - Video

McMansions Explained - Video

This popped up in my YouTube feed today. It’s about eight minutes long and it’s really good. There are some downright horrific McMansions shown. Enough to give any fan of quality residential architecture a nightmare.

Some of the descriptions about roofs, columns, garages, and things that don’t look right are hysterical but also spot-on. It used the term “Architectural Theatre” and compares them to cars with fake exhausts. It’s exactly right.

Enjoy!

Supreme Court Broker Liability

The SCOTUS has reversed a lower court ruling that shielded brokers from liability. Now brokers can be sued in state courts in any jurisdiction the operate loads.

I wonder how this is going to affect the whole Chameleon Carrier and sub-broker situation and shady carriers. Big brokers like CH Robinson are going to have to be a lot more careful in who they give loads to.

MIA Paperwork - Glad I Checked

A few weeks ago I asked here about a Work Activity Report I had received. I filled it out and hand delivered it to the local SS office. I put it in the secure drop box (which was jammed full).

I called a few times to confirm receipt and they said “not yet”. So again this week I called to confirm they received it. Nope. No one has it. They checked all the desks and messaged the office. It was MIA.

I had a copy scanned in already. They sent me a link to secure upload it directly to their office. I did so and got a confirmation.

Just goes to show you should ALWAYS confirm receipt of paperwork. I’m glad I did. 😃

Here we have another case of parents giving open access to their kids thinking they’re safe because it’s a “Christian School”. A Christian Principal apparently likes the teenage boys and had Peeper pictures. He put cameras in the boys locker room. He is getting ten years in prison.

https://roysreport.com/christian-principal-peeping-tom-sentenced-after-posting-locker-room-cameras/

Of course AFTER it happened they’re all upset he violated their faith in Christianity to get access. They’re too ignorant of the vulnerability their superstitious beliefs create. The truth is it seems if you want access to prey all you need to do is “be a Good Christian” and parents will walk their kids right in the door.

Now they’re upset they were “betrayed”. 🙄

Article Quotes:

“”Strubhar said the students involved “are innocent victims” and their “trust of adults has been shattered” and that families “sent their children to a Christian school and expected they’d be safe.””

“”The victim’s mother said during Cobbs’ sentencing that he “went against everything he preached.” Cobbs, she said, spoke of “character, integrity and faithfulness” while “living a lie.””

Summary:

You let your mystical belief guide your actions. How’d that turn out for you? 🤔
