Created a new community for Indian founders, builders, and startup-minded people — r/IndianFoundersClub

Hi everyone,

I recently created a new community called r/IndianFoundersClub for Indian founders, aspiring entrepreneurs, builders, engineers, students, operators, and startup-minded people who want to connect and share practical knowledge.

The goal is to build a useful space for discussions around:

- Startup ideas and validation

- Finding cofounders, engineers, and collaborators

- Product building and execution

- Legal, compliance, and government-permission challenges

- Funding, bootstrapping, and business models

- Marketing, hiring, operations, and founder lessons

- Real experiences from building, failing, testing, and launching

I’m not trying to make another noisy “motivation” group. The aim is to create a practical Indian founder network where people can ask serious questions, get honest feedback, and connect with others who are actually building or learning to build.

If you’re a founder, student, engineer, operator, designer, marketer, investor, or someone interested in India’s startup ecosystem, you’re welcome to join:

r/IndianFoundersClub

Also open to feedback on how to improve the community, what rules/flairs we should add, and what kind of posts would make it genuinely useful.

Thanks.

How do young founders in India build a serious network of engineers, operators, and legal experts?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently working on startup ideas and trying to build a stronger network of people who can help with practical knowledge, execution, and guidance.

I’m specifically looking to connect with:

  • Engineers / builders / technical people
  • Startup founders or early-stage operators
  • People with raw practical knowledge, not just theory
  • Legal, compliance, government-permission, and regulatory experts
  • People who understand local laws, orders, permissions, and how things actually work on the ground in India

My goal is not just casual networking. I want to find serious people who can help me understand problems deeply, validate ideas, build products, and navigate the legal/government side of execution.

I’m based in Maharashtra/Mumbai region, so Indian communities would be most useful, but I’m open to online communities too.

What are the best ways to find such people?

Some things I’d like advice on:

  1. Which Reddit communities are best for Indian startups, engineering, legal advice, and founder networking?
  2. Are there active Discord, WhatsApp, Telegram, LinkedIn, or offline communities for this?
  3. How do early-stage founders find reliable engineers and domain experts?
  4. How should I approach people without sounding like I’m just asking for free help?
  5. Are there any good Mumbai/Pune/Bangalore startup communities, events, or meetups worth joining?
  6. What mistakes should I avoid while networking as a young founder?

I’m looking for practical, real-world advice from people who have actually built, hired, networked, or dealt with regulations before.

Thanks in advance.
