Hello, I am new to the hobby, and to 40k in general. There was a big opening of a first official Warhammer store in my country yesterday, and since from the little media I have consumed my favs became the Inquisition and Deathwatch, I got the Deathwatch battalion, and Eisenhorn. I thought that since within lore Ordo Xenos and Deathwatch work together, I could replicate that with the minis. Originally, I wasn’t going to buy anything, but since the line was so long and it took 4 hours for me to get into the store, I thought it would be insane to leave empty handed. If I knew I would be buying something, I would have made more research beforehand.

I then spent the entirety of yesterday afterward reading up about the Inquisition and Deathwatch within the actual game, and honestly now I feel super discouraged. Anywhere I look, inquisition seems to be utter trash that forums are discouraging people from getting them, and DW stuff also seems kind of all over the place, but mostly negative. So I don’t know what to do now.

When the huge Armageddon starter box with Blood Angels and Ork Boyz will come out, we talked with my brother and thought we could buy it together, since he collects orks. The original idea was to take the space marine half and make them into Deathwatch, with Eisenhorn and Inquisitorial Agents, but now I feel like I should just scrap the whole idea, use the DW guys only as idk something to learn painting with, and then use the Blood Angels instead, when we get them.

Maybe I am being silly, but I was so excited, and now I just feel stupid like I picked the wrong thing. Any suggestions on what to do? Is there a way to make the DW+Inquisition work, or should I just go with the Space Marines (i would paint those as either Blood Angels or Raven Guard).

I got the cache from Dargonus, and now I finished Kiava, but when I get back to the voidship, it automatically triggers Pasqal approaching me and asking me to do a ritual to understand the machine spirit of the ship. I assumed that is the thing needed for getting Nomos, but then immediately I get FAILED for the Communications quest which lets me decrypt the hidden data left by Theodora, and apparently without it I CAN'T get the Secret Ending.

So, now I am lost. What do I do? I will already have to redo the entire final fight on Kiava since it didn't occur to me that such a critical thing would trigger right after I enter my ship. Can I postpone Pasqal, so I have time to actually fiddle with my personal cogitator on the ship?
