Should I remove this huge chunk of algae completely?

I have shrimp and zebra danios and I think there might be small baby shrimps in it and after a long time shrimps started to thrive in my aquarium so I am reluctant to remove that chunk of algae but it might effect my aquarium health...so should I remove it?

It's a little less than 10 gallon
