went deleting old photos and found one i took the day ultra 85 showed up in the post. i recall having made plans to sit and read the story of thomas & kai in an empty quiet empty maryland field to get away from all the noise. took this thinking this be a dope shot but the landscape felt imperfect in the moment so i never posted or looked back at it ever

did i read this book in one sitting fully immersed within the story? lol no, got a few pages in and it started to rain. listened to and finished the blum audiobook during my overnight shift at a boxing warehouse… grave shift emptiness needed filled somehow!

but in the end i seem to have found much more appreciation for this pic

the skies weren’t perfect and the clouds were a little dull.. but i maybe thats how it looked on paradise when the boys arrived 🤷
