Looking for a laundry game plan for chronically ill family member; any advice greatly appreciated (further details below).

Hi everyone! I currently share an apartment with my mom, both for financial reasons and for health reasons; we both have different chronic illnesses, so we've been able to help each other out and balance our our strengths and weaknesses. As a result, both of us are often at doctor's offices or the hospital reviewing treatment/getting tests done, and those visits have been more frequent now that my mom's been getting tested for possible Parkinson's.

As a result, I'm trying to be more mindful of washing anything we've been wearing each day in order to clean/steralize them the best I can while also maintaining their color and fiber integrity. I initially visited this sub today in search of a better stain remover, but now I'm currently questioning my previous laundry habits and am feeling overwhelmed by all of the information I'm trying to take in. I figured directly asking via a post might be better and less financially wasteful; you all seem to know your stuff A LOT better than I do, lmao.

Here's what I'm looking for product-wise: -Something that cleans and sanitizes clothes and towels, both darks and whites -Something that gets rid of stains, particularly dairy, greese and tomato stains -Something that works well with hard water and in a communal top loader washer and front loader dryer -Preferably unscented since I have asthma

Here's what I currently use product-wise:

-Tide Free and Gentle laundry pods -Free and gentle dryer sheets (tend to either be generic or Bounce, depending on price) -Dish soap for stains that have just happened if possible (usually generic or Palmolive fragrence-free) -OxiClean Versatile Stain Remover Free powder for set-in stains (doesn't always work the first time)

In terms of water temperature, I go back and forth between hot and cold depending on what I'm using and for what reason (i.e. stains vs just cleaning in general). Our dryer in our unit usually needs to be set on the highest heat setting because the warm setting tends to act more like the low one; I think I might be loading more clothes that I should, which is an easy fix, it's the products themselves that I'm questioning more than anything.

I think that's all the info I needed to include, but if you guys need me to explain anything further please let me know in the replies. Thank you all so much in advance for the help; things have been hectic lately, so I greatly appreciate whatever help/advice I can get to at this point. 😅
