What’s the highest score you seen on a weapon?

I know the score doesnt mean much and abit of a silly game but nice to see some very high numbers. Any got their weapons over 3k yet?

I have picked up a decent roll Modified USC. The base score after skill cric dmg re-roll is 2.2k at level 50. Once i added all the mods and TAM’s (+40% dmg), now the score is around 2.8k. This is significantly higher than all other weapons i have in the collection. I wonder if i can get it over 3k by unlocking the next TAM tier. (Engineering is +379 at the moment).

Tomahawk steak

Hi all,

I have a Weber 57cm (22”) master touch. I have a vortex and set of baskets if needed. I picked up a pair of Tomahawk steaks from costco yesterday and they are about 1 inch thick. Can you please give me some guidance on how hot I should get the weber to heat before putting the steaks on and roughly how long I need to cook them for medium rare? And do i need to flip them half way through?

(I will take them out of fridge an hour before, cut the packaging to let them breath before pat dry and add salt. Plan is to add pepper at the final 30seconds of cooking before taking them out to rest for ten minutes.).

My current plan is to use baskets to form a hot zone on one side, then put the meaty bit of the steak about 4” away from the fire with the bone bit pointing further away from the fire. The lid will close such that the vent will be away from the fire to encourage more air/heat passes over the steaks.

In terms of fuel, i have both lumpwoods and briquettes. Plan is to use 25% lumpwoods and 75% briquettes but this depends if the heat needs to be high.

I heard some people wrap the bone section with tin foil to stop it from charring too much. Is that a good idea?

Any advice is welcomed! I wont be ruining the steaks until tomorrow! Please help!

Side burner or standalone

Hi all,

Im planning my outdoor kitchen. I think at the heart of it will be a 3-burner Genesis and a master-touch in the corner.

My other half has been interested in cooking outdoor for sometime time. I read reddit posts on side burners and almost overwhelmingly say they dont think it’s worth the extra money and some reported it is quite low-power.

First question is, has Any one had any information on how much power does it have? (Can be in either kw or BTU/hr, i can do the conversion myself).

Second question is, perhaps i am better off installing a standalone one and hook it up to second gas canister? (Although outdoor kitchen but there will be cover so im planning to use a normal kitchen hob and disconnect the electricity until i need to use it). Thanks.

Dz extraction

Anyone figure how is the dz credit calculated when extracting oneself via helicopter?

Sometimes it’s just 90dz credits but sometimes as high as 170. Is it time remaining? Number of enemies killed while waiting for heli? Thx

Help me pick my poison!

So i have been using a 47cm compact Weber for about 8years. Since then the family has grown quite abit! It was ok with 4 people but now not so ok with 4 people plus their circles of friends!

We just had a gathering over weekend and had 18people turned up and lets just say we had to open a few instant/one-use bbq stoves to fill the gap!

Im based in the UK. At the moment it looks like the Spirit EPX-435R is on sale as well as the Genesis E-335W. There is still some price difference between the two, 799 vs 1099. At a stretch we can afford the Genesis. However, the Spirit is top of the line, may be there is some features that the Genesis doesnt have?

Please share your thoughts!

Ps: our kitchen is super small and not very well ventilated so we do use portal induction stove in the garden to cook, so a side burner is a must for the new unit. Some stuff you just cant do on induction hob.

Trying to start a basic solar system

Hi all,

Our household uses fairly low electricity in general but would still like to install some basic solar system to offset further.

I see on ebay that there are some flexible solar panels for RV’s. the output is circa 12v. They come with mc4 connectors. Can i connect few of these , say, 5-6 panels in series, to a micro inverter as opposed to using a more traditional rigid panels that output 30+ volt per panel?

5-6 of these flexible 100w panels will give us 5-600w at peak, but given the house/roof orientation, i plan to run two chains in parallel with one facing east one facing west. Is this a sounded plan?

(I’m still in learning/planning phase, readying for regulatory update for plug in solar) thanks.

Looking forward

Lets just be positive and discuss things we look forward to.

I for one really looking forward to new exotics and some new missions that involve First Light.

While i hate the toughness of the final bosses in final mission just as much as kid-like behaviour of Andy, i do want to see how this character develops in the future. I personally think he should also lose an eye and learn some lessons.

Since this is some what a copy and paste job from Div1, it would be nice to play some of the Div missions like four horsemen.

I also think if they can introduce some random appearance of mini bosses in dz to spice up the extract process (abit like the hunter in div2). This may make dbs vanguard think twice before strolling into extraction zones with sole purpose of killing other agents and not robbing them at all.

Refreshing a MtB

I havent ridden my mtb for nearly 8 years since i turned roadie. However a friend just got into XC/ light trail MTB and that got me interested again.

It’s a Bianchi Ethanol 27.2 enduro from 2017. The frame has two eyelets which can host a 200x57 and 190x50 rear shock. I remember discussing with the designer with regards to linkage design when i purchased it. They admit only the top dog spec had coil shock and they were very much design around that. However, all other lower tier spec i.e. mine, had an air shock. The suspension design is highly progressive and combining with air shock progressively, the designer told me it was very much a commercial decision. Anyway, im now wanting to try coil shock but dont really want to throw too much money into it.

I found a couple shocks that are 190x45 and 210x55. I think 160mm is overbiking so i dont mind reducing that. I have already sourced a rockshox rs1 with 120mm and 29” for the front, so reducing to 120-130mm rear travel is probably ok. If i go with 190x45. I will reduce travel from 130 to 11xmm. Or if i go with 210x55, i will probably land somewhere near 125mm travel.

Is my understanding correct? Anything i should watch out for? Say, coil bind may not happen but the shock would have bottomed out and kill the shaft? Thanks.

How to get more weapons upgrade materials

So for a while now i have been using my trusty Vector (not first wave). I have pretty much pour all my resources into it and it’s level 48. However, i recently picked up another Vector with better attributes. It’s level 40 at the moment. Whats the best way to level this new one up? Or just keep it at 40 for now and wait until a first wave Vector to avoid having to grind again? And also, what to do with the old one? Anyway to recover something useful? Thx.

Is it my level too low

Im at level 27. I started to notice i never ever got a pink or gold item. Then i start to notice when the boss drop the loot, it’s pink or gold but when i pick up, it’s always green or blue once it’s in my backpack. This includes items picking up from darkzone. Is it a bug or my level is too low and this is a way to balance the game?
