Onwards we go!! Satsuki first, because of course. ;) I enjoy that we see some of Sushio's perspective guidelines in the middle key frames today. More Takarada, ending off yesterday's sequence. And! Maybe most importantly, we get a Yoshinari sketch in the mix in this set! Always a total treat. ♡

Another set of frames from the initial sequence that we have been covering, and this is toward the end of the first segment! Next, we get into more of the actual transformation part! :) We get some extra details in here again as Ryuuko follows through with her moments at the glove.

Another hair's breadth away from a clean sweep for Kittan, but no dice! I am so interested in this pattern of minor characters getting votes! I especially liked Zorthy, so this was a pleasant surprise that he received at least one vote! Even if I agree our boy Kittan needed to move on. ;) Going to create a very interesting match in tier 2!

We get another interesting match for today! The first of the remaining twin team steps up to face another heavy hitter in the fandom! You guys know what to do, Team Gurren? Who is going to win this match of the Tournament of Champions?

It's officially Takarada day here in the collection! I love looking at all the details in these frames, because his design and outfit are quite intricate! I feel like he must have been a bit of a model nightmare when they animated him, lol. I hear repeatedly from animators that stripes are some of the most annoying things to animate for consistency reasons. So that is why I make the assumption. He reminds me of a favorite character of mine, so maybe that's why I'm drawn to the design, as well! :P

I'm back for today's main post! Today's frames are in reverse-order. Just to show the most interesting one up front! :) It looks like she's bleeding a flamethrower instead of blood in this genga, haha! You can tell that Sushio began to hurry at the end as well, as those details just start to drop off a little, heheh. Which is fine! The rest of the animators have the scene going, by now. I do love how many frames are dedicated to making this sequence as smooth as it turns out. ♡

Back to the heat of things for this catch-up post! I always feel silly translating the sound effects when there is no dialogue, because I imagine myself just standing by myself in an empty room, just beat-boxing the sounds, and it genuinely always makes me giggle, lol. Anyway! More action! I absolutely LOVE this scene in the Anime, with Gurren Lagann using the flyers like monkey bars at a playground. :P Such a cool sequence! Doesn't quite have the same effect in the Manga, but I still enjoy the artwork!

We're back to it, today! :) Starting off with, yes, THAT episode, lol. Right in the thick of it! We definitely don't get enough Takarada around here, so I've been looking forward to posting some of his frames from this episode! I know he isn't the most popular, but I've always really liked his design! And of course, we are starting off with some Aikurou, lol. In typical cool-mode. :P This page came to me with a bit of damage, and you can see it here on the paper. I think its a great reference for artwork, if anyone needs it!

Another day, another vote! Here's day 12!

Yoko dominates round 11, this time around! In my opinion, claiming some sweet, sweet revenge that she never quite got the pleasure of. :P So I am certainly satisfied with this vote! It was VERY close to a clean sweep, but there was at least one person ringing the bell for Thymilph, and I honestly love to see it!

Today is another showdown between Team Gurren Members, and I have another feeling on how this vote is going to go. Still, it is so interesting to see how the rankings actually end up! Only one character so far has received 0 votes. Its Zorthy vs. Kittan now, so let's get to it! Which character should move on in the Tournament of Champions?

We've made it to day 11!

Ohhhhhh, it was a close one yesterday, Team Gurren! The votes were pretty close to being even! (Which, in the event of a tie, I am the tie-breaker, just to remind!) I was really impressed to see the Nia rally, and I saw some really great arguments on why each of them should win on this round! After quite the battle, it was our boy Simon who squeaked by and came out on top! Sadly, we say farewell to Nia today, but I have no doubt she would happily cheer Simon on, anyway! ;)

The pain is over, and today has a very interesting vote! I'm not expecting a certain Beastman to win, but... It IS a sweet opportunity to get some revenge for what thay big ape does. So! Let's see. Who do you want to move on, in the Tournament of Champions?

In a landslide victory, Dayakka mops the floor with Kidd! There was no contest, and we came quite close to another clean sweep, but we did have some Kidd fans in the mix! For now, its down with Kidd Knuckle and up with Dayakkaiser. Super Dad moves on to tier 2!

The brutal RNG is who you have to thank for today's disaster of a match! Deliciously cruel, I could not believe when these two popped up as a match in tier 1! Honoring the system, we now must vote to eliminate a favorite, no matter what! Good luck, Team Gurren, I don't envy this one!! Hello fellow Satsuki fans! :)

I'm just swinging by as a guest! It was requested that I bring some of my frames over here, so I thought I would pop by and offer them up! These are all the recent key frames that I've been posting of Satsuki in the last month. All of them are from the last episode! Some real gems in this set, I absolutely love the tender look on Satsuki's face, especially after she catches Ryuuko! (Number 15!) Definitely my favorite of the bunch.

I wasn't sure whether to tag this or not, so I'm doing it just to be safe, even if there's not too much detail on these sketches.
