Yesssssss! More peak Yoko and Nia wholesomeness for your viewing pleasure, today! Yay! I love that this moment still happens! Though the vibe is a bit different, just because it isn't Yoko who has ruined her hair, this time. It just has a slightly different meaning. But I very much appreciate that they have kept the heart and bonding of this scene. Once again, the artwork in this entire volume is some of Kotaro's best, in my opinion! From this point on, I feel that he really has a good feel of the characters and they are suiting his style perfectly. :) All of the lighting and softness of this set is beautiful!

Whelp. Off he goes! Lol. These are all simple in-between frames. But! I really like the interesting perspective of the first sketch, and the way that Sushio has illustrated the motion in the second frame. He so skillfully blurs the lines, even! It's not a trick of my camera. :)

Another adorable classic for your dashboards today! :) Always have loved this scene! It is just sp cute, even in its rough form! Who doesn't love Ryuuko and Mako together? I particularly the expressions in these pieces of artwork. Especially Mako's, I think. In this set, her eyes are just so sharp! Something about the lack of color really makes the linework pop!

YEEEEEEESSSSSS. This is my favorite kind of post! Character bonding time! So much happens in this moment! Nia stops considering her father with high respect, and starts calling him the Spiral King instead. Such a big thing! And! Yoko! Awh!!! See? The gattai mended the bond between Simon and herself much more naturally and quickly than the Anime. At least, in my opinion! Manga Yoko is my favorite Yoko, honestly. You'll see more of why, later! But this entire arc with Storeia is one of the big reasons. I think that her character development really fleshes out in the Manga! I love that frame with her cuddling Simon after teasing him. :) So cute! And that tender look on Nia's illustration!? So sweet. Another stellar set from Kotaro! Even Team Dai-Gurren is looking so fine as Silhouettes in the second slot! But I've gabbed enough for today, haha. Let's find out what that favor is...! Even if I think you already know. ;)

Hurray for another mixed character day! I had to start with this stunning sketch of Ragyou. I think this is my favorite frame of her that I have! Technically, Nonon's frame comes first. Been a while since we have seen some Aikurou! So I'm happy. :) All of the best late episode frames are incoming! It's going to be a great June for the collection. :D

A trio today! Another classic. :) We get some fantastic direction notes, too! These are by Imaishi. The duo of frames are both of the layers I have for this shot. We will do a fresh one tomorrow! I do love the sketchiness of the top layer where they've corrected things! Sushio did a fantastic job, as always. If you read the translations, you can literally flip back to the correction layer and see the adjustments! Love doing that. And I do find the extra layer to be more 'Ryuuko', if that makes sense!

Gasp! That's right. Nia cuts her own hair off, in the Manga! Which I have mixed feelings about, since I really appreciated the moment that Yoko does it, in her moment of bravery. It shows off Yoko's skill, and their mutual bravery. Develops the trust. We will still get something similar here, but I prefer the Anime's storytelling of her hair. This is heartfelt and symbolic, and I actually really love it! I just love the main characters bonding a bit more. :) Also, we gotta talk about another great set of illustrations! How beautiful is that first panel? I think the whole post is amazing, as that second one and the way everything else is set up... Yeah, just beautiful. Okay, enjoy the start of your week, all! More Elite Four? I think so. :) It's pretty rare to see Ira flinching! And he isn't too happy about it, lol. Houka is also concerned. :P This is an awesome set, in my eyes. Since she is technically nude, I've decided to tag this one. The indignant face she is making has me giggling. I absolutely love when Sushio draws her like this. His more cartoony style really captures me! We do gain some x-ray vision for the first illustration. :P Lol. I see them cheeks, Ryuuko.

Ayo, more from this hilarious scene! And one more straggler frame trace layer that I forgot to put with the others. Oops! I love all three today for different reasons! One more full day of Ragyou! I'm not sure if there's one more to clean sweep the week, but we will find out! These ones are more in-between frames from the same sequence. I love the perspective of the last sketch, today! It's not one that we get to see, very often! Very cool. Ragyou week is almost through! Lots of awesome late episode frames incoming. :)

We are officially into the next episode! And this scene never fails to make me laugh! I love that we have a layout genga today! They are rare and few and far between. I love that particular piece of artwork. So much great stuff incoming!

PSYCHE! Oh yeah. That's right, baby. Yoko and Simon GIGA DRILL IS GO. That 4th illustration is incredible, I love seeing how the gattai works in this context! There is nothing more epic than having another Giga Drill, in my opinion. :D This really gives Yoko and Simon a chance to bond more and heal from their shared trauma as well. I am just all about this volume of the Manga, haha!
