High school kids who quit soccer - what did they do instead?

My son is a junior and has decided to quit soccer (he's been playing since he was 5) and has been playing 5-6 days a week.

I'm worried that going from being super active almost everyday to nothing is going to kill his mental health. What did your kids do instead?

Husky mix foster needs a name

ETA: Thanks so much for your responses - welcome SHELBY!

I just pulled this husky mix from my shelter to foster for a rescue. She was scheduled to be euthanized today. She is 65lbs looks like a husky/pitbull/shepherd mix with a husky temperament.
She's got one STRIKING blue eye.

Her shelter name was Hilary. I know I can do better, but I could use some help. My daughter suggested Hazel, but I think there's a better name for her. I prefer names that end in the -ah or -ee sound for training, but I'm open. Thanks all!

Constipated 2 week old kitten finally pooped, now what?

One of the 2 kittens that I've been fostering for 5 days finally pooped after 4 days. Hooray! Now I'm not sure how much or little to back off of the steps to get her to poop. After two relatively large hard nuggets, she passed what I would consider toothpaste type poop.

(1) I increased the ratio of water to KMR to 3:1 instead 2:1.
(2) I added a small amount of miralax to her food.

I also did a ton of massages and the triangle method, but I think it was the food stuff that helped the most.

I don't want to completely stop (1) and (2) because that's how we ended up here, but how slowly should I step back? I can't seem to find information on that.
