Looking for hairdresser recommendations

I was due to have my hair cut at Menutiae in Ossett, but they've had to cancel (paternity leave) and they're unable to book me in again before I need it, which is by the 11th at the latest.

Can you please suggest other good hairdressers in the area? Ideally somewhere where I can have a bit of a consultation about what to go for first.

Social activities for someone with autism

My son is 19, has recently been diagnosed with autism, and isn't in a great place mentally. I think a large part of this is because he spends most of his time in his room and isn't socialising with people; he's a NEET and his friend group has fizzled out since school finished. He does volunteer, which helps but the people there aren't on a similar wavelength to him.

Are there any social activities, hobbies or groups locally you'd recommend for someone of that age who is neurodivergent? Ideally that are welcoming and where he can meet like-minded people and make friends.

Do 'Disability Confident' interviews pay off?

My son is 19 and for almost a year we've been trying to help him find a job but he hasn't had much luck. He's had about half a dozen interviews, mostly trainee or apprenticeship public sector roles, and most of these have been through the disability confident scheme.

I think with all but one interview he has been way off. He has been getting better but sometimes he's in and out in 15/20 minutes as I think they've written him off almost as soon as he's through the door. It's making him feel disheartened and that there's no point in going to interviews because there's no chance of him getting the job.

Is the disability confident scheme a box ticking exercise? Are employers using it as a way to weed out those with disabilities early, i.e. so they're not finding this out after they've hired someone? Would we be better off not using it?
