Ahmed Ali councilor for Gotham East End

About a month ago, work began on cleaning up and renovating The Cool Zone,a former child's amusement area,music venue and eating area attached to the larger Fun Zone,a former funfair and amusement park that may or may not be council property. [ The legal team involved seem to have left ownership very vague.]

In any case, the Fun Zone is a no go area inhabited by homeless street gangs and criminals,presently being assisted by Deacon Blackfire and not part of the programme.

The first weekend disturbed thousands of rats!

Some of these entered residential homes.

One such; Mathew Baker, reported this to the council and was supplied with poisons and traps.

Having heard nothing from him for a week, and knowing him disabled we called on him this morning.

His door was forced,but showed ratholes.

Inside we found about twenty dead rats,lots of droppings,and a mostly devoured corpse!

I admit to being sick,( outside so as not to contaminate the scene!)

On the wall, in blood were the words " Leave The Rats Alone! Ratcatcher!"

There were NO rats in the house!

All evidence points to rat infestation up to perhaps yesterday 3rd October.

But now, not one!

We contacted Central, but Pied Piper is in jail.

Someone,presumably this " Ratcatcher" has somehow removed all the rats!

This is a most distressing situation!

There may be a metahuman with control over rats and no regard for human life!

Has anyone else experienced organised rat activity!?

Obviously not as irresponsible as taking a child,( even a superpowered one,) into situations with madmen with guns,but why would anyone risk their beloved animal companion like that?

Or,in the case of someone like Squirrel Girl, animals in general?

I'm not talking super powered animals,I mean normal animals like cowboy steeds and dogs,pre- vampiric Red Wing,the horses and birds of knights,etc.

I have come across a book from a "Pink Publisher" from the Old Harbour Dock area,( though exactly where I cannot discover,) which is pure filth!

It is a book promoting a secret agency whose acronym is SADISTO! and concerns a pornographic secret agent called Anderson/0008 and two fetishised costumed heroes called Gnatman and Rubbina!( Robina in some paragraphs.)

Agent Anderson,who meets women who seemingly cannot keep their clothes on, is supposedly here in Gotham to prevent the detonation of a "gravity bomb" by a

mostly female terrorist agency called KRUNCH.

This book,( $30 to its origonal owner,) is nothing but smut!

Unadulterated smut!

I have reported its existence to counciller Ali in the hope he could pressurise others into finding,raiding and closing the printers, but he says it is outside his remit and I should report it to the police.

Having recently acquired a police record for a claimed assault however, I am worried I may be arrested for possessing pornography!

What should I do?

Three weeks ago, House Of Freak approached me to help them locate 8 faux furs designed for next years New York Fashion Show, believing they were smuggled into East End from The Garment Sector.

Initially wishing to keep this as secret as possible I was asked to only post a request for information at GothamEastEnd.

However Nightlight,a local vigilante, recovered one of the faux furs; a lionesque long coat and mane collar.

It had been copied.

House Of Freak are now extremely worried,as a market of copies will invalidate it from next years show.

As such,having previously been very cagey about details they are widening the search.

There is a $12,000 reward for each fur handed in.

The remaining 7 are, two short,ladies bolero jackets; one red,one blue.

A "zebra" jump suit,a "giraffe" onesie with matching domino mask, a "siberian tiger" short hoodie,and in "traditional fur coat" mode; an "ocelot" and a "polar bear".

The "ocelot" with matching gloves and "fur boots."

All have The House Of Freak "Hippy in a cloud of purple smoke" label with a barcode. If you scan this code on The House Of Freak Web page,under "returns" this will verify the item. If not verified,please report regardless.

We can donate the reward to charity,you can simply phone the police to pick-up or you can deliver the "fur" to the Gotham East End council offices and fill in your details on the reward claim.

It is believed these were stolen to order.

Early this morning police were called to the notorious "Crime Alley" to view the dead body of "Bat-Man."

Despite a cheap costume shop cloak, the man was kitted out in the iconic "Bat" body armour,armed with a taser,

pepper-spray,baton,cuffs....

He had been shot from below,through the lower jaw,the bullet passing into the brain and completely obliterating the centre of it.

Removing the cowl, [marked with a small buttercup at the back,] revealed the wearer to be disgraced GCPD officer Paul Fingeroll.

For those unfamiliar, Fingeroll had just finished serving 8 of an initial 15 yrs for assisting the Moronies with trafficking drugs from Gotham to Miami.

He has been back in civilian clothes less than a month.

It appears,despite his criminal record he was accepted by the " Duchess" mayorship campaign to be one of her batsuited "assisstants" to the present police force.

Fingeroll had began to believe himself in touch with a secret "Bat Cult" whilst still in prison. Giving him a suit seems to have been a major mistake.

If anyone has any information on how and why Fingeroll was in Park Row, or on who it was that shot him,please contact the D.As office.

The cameras that watch the alley were down between midnight-thirty and 02.45,when the repairman found "Batman", so it was during these hours Fingeroll was killed.

It was decided this week to actively stand in front of and hinder organisers of this ghastly project, and my particular target was the main drive, Malcombe bloody Reeve!

I would have prefered counciller Ali, but an order restricting my ability to be within a certain distance of him prevented this.

Fearing we might receive physical abuse,myself and 5 others were armed with golf clubs to protect ourselves.

Blocking Mr.Reeve and singing songs too loudly for him to be heard over, we were successfully hindering progress, when,due to lack of self-control, Malcolmbe Reeve pushed me.

Having been attacked,I struck Mr Reeve in the head with my driver, and he fell to the floor bleeding.

Fearing further attack I struck twice more, when a man I swear had previously been 200 yards away suddenly wrenched my golf club away and threw it under the catapillar trax of a bulldozer.

Seeing me in danger,and with no thought of their own safety my fellow five set upon this oaf quite soundly for several minutes as he cowered over Mr.Reeve,until the extremely biased GCPD came in with batons and assaulted us!

We were all arrested,despite clear evidence this man was completely unhurt, and were threatened with a charge of assault and battery.

Despite an initial flurry of interest from the government spies, as soon as they were within hailing distance of this thug,they seemed to lose all sense of urgency and continued on as if nothing had happened!

Meanwhile,I have been violently attacked by the police,had my arms injured by handcuffs,my previously spotless record spoiled and bound over to keep the peace!

I am going to have to pay for Reeves' bloody medical treatment as well!

I warn you! Not only shall I sue, but our protests shall grow! We shall not be moved!

After three successful Sundays cleaning up The Cool Zone,despite a small group of anti-clean-up presenters lead by a Mr.Karen, this Sunday Mr.Karen went too far and assaulted Malcombe Reeve,my fellow organiser.

His friend,a local docker whose name always escapes me and whose details never seem to get recorded no matter how often I intend to do so, disarmed Mr Karen,who was armed with a golf club,and the docker was in turn set upon for several minutes by a circle of 5 others.

The GCPD were quick to arrest Mr.Karen and his fellows,

and the unharmed docker carried Mr.Reeve to the voluntary medical staff nearby.

I interceded to try and calm things down, and somehow we all forgot to take statements from the docker despite him working alongside us for several more hours,but Mr.Karen was charged with the assault on Mr.Reeve.

He has since been bound over to keep the peace.

After the arrests the protesters were moved further down hill and peace resumed.

Due to this I have made a tabled proposal for compensation to be paid to all residents within a two mile radius of the Cool Zone and we are designating the top of Andru's Hill at Conway Green as a protest area,where all involved will coexist safely.

We hope this will be accepted by all parties.

May I also remind volunteers not to travel beyond Deacon Church. This area has been promised to the homeless who live in the Fun Zone behind our work area.

If you wish to donate food and charity, please do so via Deacon Blackfire. It is dangerous to engage with the would be recipients directly.

Let us all please be understanding of one another.

There is room for us all,both for,and against cleaning up the area.

On a separate note, I apologise once again for any unease felt by the open presence of government agents,against whose presence I will continue to protest.

However, the rumour circulating about a "green box" of some extraterrestial origin being hidden or buried on the site are complete nonsense!

Can we please stop adding to the already far too numerous negative myths attached to the city we live in.

House Of Geek have asked if anyone in the East End has any information on 8 fashion faux fur coats made for The New York Fashion Week next year, which have been smuggled out of The Garment District, and are suspected of having been smuggled into our neighbourhood.

They believe certain wealthy new comers may have had them stolen to order,though they have not presented their evidence for this.

Who the Hell asked anybody to clean-up the shithole arcade and amusement park?

It's going to be some rich ahole who's bribed the damn administration to get volunteers to work for nothing and then take it over!

I was glad they closed the place down; all those outsiders invading the area,loud music and lights, damn kids everywhere, sex in the Wild Zone.

Now we got gangs and homeless and dogs up there!

I work hard Monday to Friday. Sunday is my day of rest!

And all we've had is trucks full of shit roaring in and out of the neighbourhood, lots of untrustworthy strangers,dust,dirt,noise, swearing,people running and laughing and rats! Fucking rats!

Nobody living here deserves this! We need to form a protest picket! We're not having this every Sunday!

Who the Hell do these dickheads think they are?

Next Sunday we need to stop these assholes getting in!

Residents around the old Cool Zone were warmed there would be a clean up activity today,and that there may be a few rats seen in the area as they seek new lairs.

My walk through with Malcombe and some volunteers last month seemed to suggest the rat levels were much lower than in actuality.

Before work began at 11 this morning I estimated over 200 volunteers. By 11.45 I estimate only 70 remained,as the number of rats,and wild cats was far beyond our estimations. Most fled into the old amusement park or took to the river banks,and atleast two of those were the size of border collies, though fortunately most were normal sized. Unfortunately a very large number fled into the streets.

We,the council ,apologise. As of 15.00 I have not been made aware of any attacks on people or pets,but obviously this situation is highly distressing.
