Has anyone with a long fusion experienced this?

I had a T10-pelvis fusion on April 22. All was great until two set screws popped off a rod and had to go in for 2nd surgery May 19 where surgeon cemented screws.

That surgery was rough. He had to reopen the incision and fix screws working around new hardware he put in.

Abt a in my feet now hurt like pins and needles 24/7
No pain radiating from my hips. But now pain in my lower back. I just want it to stop. I want this surgery to be successful. It’s been a great run.
Getting thoracic and lumbar MRIs tomorrow.

Thanks for reading this

Post spinal fusion questions about practical, silly things, like managing a laptop, bracing…

I am almost 3 months post April 22 T-10-Pelvis fusion. And my revision surgery to fix hardware was May 17.
Has anyone have advise on: wearing the brace given to me after second surgery, it’s bulky and super heavy more like a weight belt. One size doesn’t fit all and unfortunately are geared to men. I am wearing the first brace given to me in the hospital. I cannot wear it to sit for a long time, bc well I cannot sit a long time, cannot wear it to lay down bc It feels like an extra rod going up my back.
Do you wear it to lay down, sit please share. I can’t get comfortable in any position brace or not. That’s why I don’t sit longer than30 minutes, I stand up, walk around for abt 20 min rinse and repeat. Mg grabbers work great, a life saver
Now about managing a laptop. I can’t sit at a table, I lay down w it but that puts pressure on my stomach, etc. I had a great cushioned laptop holder that made the lap top go up higher so I’m not creaking my neck over. But can’t find it again on Amazon etc
Any advice would be most appreciated!
Thank you!!!

I had a T-10 - pelvis fusion April 22. My recovery was going grea! But Last week I felt a sharp pain in my back. Xrays showed “two set screws” popped off of the rod. We went back in this Tuesday the replaced screws & added cement.

The pain in my back is so much worse than the first time. I know he had to navigate hardware, etc. I’m terrified of it happening again. Any advice from experience is appreciated. I’m wearing the vest/brace all the time except when laying down. Not even sure I’m wearing it correctly I’m terrified this will happen again. My enthusiasm & confidence have taken a nose dive. Help pls. Thank you

Any advise is appreciated. Had T-10-pelvis fusion April 22. I normally sleep on my side I do with a pillow btn my knees but that’s awkward too. But I was told to get used to sleeping on my back. But that feels so hard on my stitches. I have an electric base for my bed at home, but sitting is uncomfortable
Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
