Side channel placement feedback?

Hi r/hometheater experts! I've currently got a 5.2.4 Atmos setup running JBL Synthesis in-walls and in-ceilings (SCL-6 for LCR, SCL-7's for rears and SCL-8's for the 4 heights) along with 2 Rythmik 18-inch subs in the back. I'm driving them with a Monolith 9X amp and Marantz AV7706 processor. The projector is a Titan Noir Max on a 165" XY Screens 4K SoundMax white woven AT screen.

Unfortunately the room is open on both sides of the seating area, so there’s no wall on the left that would mirror one on the right for side surrounds. The system sounds absolutely incredible despite the less than ideal layout and it's by far the best system I've ever owned. But I do wonder if I will get a better bubble if I can find a good way to add sides in. If you guys think the benefit would be modest then that's helpful info too.

I was thinking of getting a couple SCL-9 on-wall speakers (and an additional 2 channel amp) and placing them at the rear corners of the sofa on pole stands, mounted so the tweeter is a bit above ear height. But I don't know if that placement is really going to give me a substantial improvement in sound and it would definitely be visually distracting compared to the nice clean look I've achieved thus far with the in-walls (except the massive black subwoofer boxes of course).

The sofa listening area is about 11 feet back from the screen. Ceiling is 8 feet high.

Any thoughts on this approach or other options that might be workable?
