After surgery
Hi guys I apologize in advance for the coherency of this post but here it is as promised
I had surgery this morning at 7;30. The surgery itself went well but my body did not react well. After I got pulled out from under anesthesia, I was in severe pain because my body was not reacting to my pain medication. They ended up giving me fentanyl, Percocet, and a couple others. Now, I’m home on my couch. I’m still in pain and my throat pain is pretty annoying. Everything things feel very tight and burning. I was told that is normal.
Other things, the ride home was terrible. I live in the terrible state of PA where our roads are pot hole central. I was crying getting out of the car by the end because it felt like my chest was ripping (I’m fine). I’ve been in and out of sleep, typically for a couple hours and then I’m taking more medication and trying to eat.
I don’t regret it, they took 3.5 pounds of me and my surgery team was great. Just loads of pain, and it’s hard to deal with (this is my first rodeo) but it can only get better. Anyways I’m gonna put my phone down it’s starting to hurt more. Thank you everyone for the encouragement on the previous post I made. It can only get better from here.
❤️❤️
