Have mostly done grappling in the past and am looking for a new place to train fully in MMA, but something I’ve noticed is a lot of the places, at least in my area, that seem to have fighters perform the best are only striking 3ish times a week which I initially found odd. Was just wondering what y’all’s experiences were

I’ve always more so had a baseline understanding of the ins and outs of Muay Thai. Familiar with big names, would dig for stadium fights, but was not extremely tapped in.

But it feels like recently it’s changed so much. Both major stadiums feel like they’ve been overhauled, with RWS and One in Lumpinee. I was just curious how it all has affected the sport, and was also wondering if Lumpinee still has their own stadium titles?

Obviously the big timeframe accent that gets discussed usually is the Transatlantic accent, but I’ve noticed something similar in the early 2000s recently watching old Ultimate Fighter (particularly Chris Leben) and also old Jon Moxley promo’s. At first I thought it may be regional but later realized they aren’t from the same areas.
