Just looking for someone to talk

I’ll be honest. There are very few people around me whose interests match mine, so it’s hard for me to communicate with others. We often just struggle to understand each other.

Anyway. No point in getting all gloomy about it here.

A small nitpick: I’d prefer if your age isn’t much lower or higher than 16/17-20.

A bit about myself:

I’m a 17-year-old guy, turning 18 soon. I’m interested in different sciences, mostly astronomy, geography, and history.

As for other hobbies, I do video editing. Not the flashy TikTok-style stuff, by the way. I make long reviews - around 15 minutes or sometimes even longer. I also love drawing, especially with gouache paints. I’d even like to make my own comic someday, though that’s more of a “wild dream” for now. Still, I’d love to hear a few tips about it… Please…

Besides that, I know a bit about game development and follow news from that field. Though I’m more knowledgeable about older games, for example: "Serious Sam TFE and TSE", "Max Payne" (only the first game so far, but I’d like to try the second one too). I also want to try some old strategy games soon, like "Age of Empires".

I really love "Undertale" and "Deltarune". You could say I’m part of the fandom. I’m also into "Underverse" and "X!Tale".

Oh, and don’t be scared - "Miragine War". Yeah, yeah, I know that ancient relic too. I even came up with a few strategies for it. Simple ones, but they work.

I’m also pretty familiar with the MCU, especially the Infinity Saga. I know a bit less about the Multiverse Saga.

And I’ve watched Christopher Nolan’s "Dark Knight" trilogy (that’s DC stuff). I’m also planning to watch a few episodes of "Batman: The Animated Series", and I used to watch the old "Teen Titans" cartoon.

Another franchise I’m into is the Monsterverse. My favorite movie from it is Godzilla: King of the Monsters.

I also watch anime.

The series I know especially well are The Rising of the Shield Hero, Attack on Titan, Dr. Stone, and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. I’ve also watched Kaiju No. 8, "Wistoria: Wand and Sword", "Mashle: Magic and Muscles", and the first season of Dandadan, plus a few lesser-known titles.

My favorite music genre is power rock.

My favorite band is Sabaton.

My favorite composers are Damjan Mravunac (the composer for "Serious Sam") and Toby Fox.

So… yeah, that’s basically it. Pretty chaotic, I know, but I hope you understand. When you’ve got this much stuff in your head, organizing it all can get difficult sometimes.

Also, I speak english and russian.

How can I learn to conduct a dialogue?

My girlfriend complained to me that I don't suggest conversation topics.

I tried to explain to her why: Unlike her, who had friends (albeit online) with similar interests, I didn't. I only had a few school friends who had completely different interests.

Hence the problem: I can't keep a conversation going.

I can only throw in the occasional comment, but... something inside me prevents me from initiating any conversation.

She said it's easier than it seems. She said, "You can just say, 'Let's talk about X,'" but that felt kind of... weird.

Without context, saying something like that seems kind of silly to me.

Can anyone offer some advice?
