Have been on the hunt for a first base mitt since it was the position I played most of my youth career.
Very excited to break this in standard, finger out, dual hinge. Got a day of mallet work and couch catch into it so far. Much stiffer out of the box than my A2000 (1716), which wasn’t soft by any stretch.
ETA: Apologies. The rug needs a vacuum.
Anyone know the equivalent model to the Abreu first base mitt? Is it a 1677 or 1679? Or am I being dense and it’s a novel pattern?
Side question: Anyone have a favorite Wilson first base mitt pattern? I’ve heard mixed things about some of their 1B mitts from some YouTube reviews, but I take those with a big old grain of salt. So, I wanted to get some Reddit consensus if possible.

I had Yosemite Bum resole my Solution Comp LVs with Trax SAS.
Why? Just for fun. Interested to see if I can feel any difference. Ya know, when sending my V4 project. 😂
