She hasn’t celebrated her Jonmodin in 10+ years, mostly because her parents never really prioritized celebrating her day. They’re financially well enough, but for some reason birthdays just were never a thing for them.

Her birthday was recently, and I wanted to do something for her because I knew or ma baba probably wouldn't. So I planned a little surprise for her. Wish korlam raate, and the next day I called her and told her to dress up (karon sob jaygay half pant genji, hawai choti pore jai. Ektu beshi laad or 🙂😂*)*

I got her a cake (she hadn’t cut a cake in a decade, btw), some snacks, and took her out for dinner to celebrate properly.

Her reaction? You can clearly see it on her face 🥹🎀
