This was my 6th painting I have done with acrylic. I’ve been painting for about 7 months now. I have always been fascinated with Socialist Realism. I donated this piece to a local political party.
I have a very rare Stalin era banner here. Late 30s to early 1940s, it is a pioneer banner, this design is very sought after for a few reasons. The text translates to "Be Ready for the Struggle for the Cause of Lenin and Stalin!". Not only is it a Stalin banner it is also one that was seen during war time. On the last slide of the post you can see an example of this specific design being captured by the Nazi SS. During the early period of the war these USSR banners would be captured by the invading forces of Nazi Germany and used as war trophies or ultimately destroyed.
