Finally found my copy in a rocker’s garage (Pat Metheny / Jaco Pastorius)

Been after this one for a while, finally found it for $10.

What percentage of your record collection was bought online vs. in person?

I'm curious where people buy most of their records. For context, please also include the approximate size of your collection and whether it's mostly vintage/used records, new pressings, or a mix of both.

As for me, I currently have about 350 old records, roughly half of which were bought online. Over the years I've purchased many more records in person, but I tend to sell a lot of them because I like to keep my collection curated.

I'm an avid crate digger and get far more satisfaction from finding records in the wild than buying them online. That said, as a rare groove collector, it's almost inevitable to turn to Discogs or similar when chasing particularly hard-to-find titles.

I've recently relocated and am effectively starting over, since those 350 records are still at my parents' house far away. This time, I'm going to try building my collection exclusively through local finds and in-person purchases. I'm curious to see how that experiment turns out—and how everyone else's buying habits compare.

Equities noiose a basso rendimento e volatilità

Buonasera,

Digging for Vinyl Records - Where To

Hi,

Does anyone have anywhere particular to recommend for crate digging, i.e. looking for vinyl records?

Any flea market, charity shop, pawn shop or whatever where you saw A LOT of vinyl records all together (volume is key). Not really looking for record stores unless they pretty crammed and dusty.

Thanks!
