I thought about it today after watching Lazzo for 29472957824th time and it left me puzzled. "Why and when did Columbina and Dottore have a falling out if they're still chummy by the time of Signora's funeral?" and then it clicked. Omega is Zandik at the most selfish and destructive part of his life, what happens after Signora's funeral? Sumeru - where Omega killed every other segment. It's likely the fallout was recent because other segments might have been "nicer" towards Columbina when she participated in their experiments but Omega's grand ambitions demanded more of her so she left.
>!Just gave his theme another listen and its geniuenly so amazing, first phase is basically another rendition of Eccentric Reception, his harbinger theme when we first meet him in Sumeru. But that second phase, oh MAN... It starts similar but then you quickly realise you are no longer fighting Il Dottore, the Second of Fatui Harbingers - but you are fighting Zandik, a child of Sumeru scorned by fate and rejected by his own nation. Even in the song itself you can hear the Sumeru theme peeking through but it's being overpowered by the dubstep and ominious whispers, even when he's practically in the heart of his homeland he's still an outcast...!<
