Joining the Hall Effect Gang
I’ve been waiting a couple of years for the hall effect market to mature before diving in.
Bottom:
d65 black, kbd65mk3 pcb, brass plate, pcb foam + plate foam, clipped cherry stabs, gateron ink black V2 lubed with kryotox 205g0, ePBT blanks set in, you guessed it, black.
Middle:
Wooting 60HEV2 in the Optimum case with Optimum keycaps. Friction fit. Lekker Tikken
Top:
Half British Shorthair Half Bengal, extra padding for sound dampening. I’m not sure exactly what kind of switch it has (this wasn’t my build) but there’s not much thock.
LPT: put your car keys in a cookie tin. It’ll block most of the signals from going further than a foot and prevent thieves from piggybacking off the signal to steal your car
A lot of people put their keys near the door, and depending on how close their car is to the house a thief can rebroadcast the signal to unlock a car with keyless entry and drive away with it. A metal tin like altoids or cookie tins are a cheap way to limit the amount of signal that’s being broadcast.
