Hi everyone,
I wanted to get some opinions from people who have followed CSAB closely.
In CSAB Round 1, the closing rank for IIIT Ranchi ECE went to around 67k, while my JEE Main CRL is 76k.
My other likely options are:
IIIT Kalyani ECE (Round 1 closing rank ~70k)
BIT Mesra Mechanical (Round 1 closing rank ~72k)
I’m fine with these options too, but IIIT Ranchi ECE is by far my first preference. I’ve placed it well above the other two in my CSAB preference order because I really want to join IIIT Ranchi.
What do you think are my chances of getting IIIT Ranchi ECE in Round 2? Is a jump from 67k to 76k realistic, or is it unlikely? Since there are upgrades, withdrawals, and seat movements after Round 1, I’m hoping there might still be a chance.
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has followed CSAB trends or has seen similar jumps in previous years.

- Dropper here, scored 95 percentile in JEE Main this year.

- Had filled forms for both BITSAT attempts beforehand.

- In Session 1, I honestly gave the paper very recklessly 😭

- Made a lot of random guesses

- Messed up accuracy badly

- Ended up scoring 121

- And no, I’m NOT asking stuff like:

“Can I go from 121 to 250/300 in 10 days?” 💀

Because honestly that’s the dumbest type of question someone can ask.

- What I actually want to know from people who improved a lot in Session 2 is:

👉 What exactly did you do in the last few days that helped maximize your score?

Current prep status:

- Took the Phodu Club test series

- Will give all 5 mocks seriously

- Planning to attempt other mock tests too

- Studying deleted Chemistry topics specifically for BITSAT 🧪

Still, I feel like I need proper guidance from people who’ve already been through this phase.

Things I especially need advice on:

- Mock test analysis

- Accuracy improvement

- Speed vs guessing balance

- Chemistry revision strategy

- Maths approach for BITSAT

- Exam temperament during the actual paper

Most of my other exam results haven’t gone that well, so I genuinely want to make this attempt count 🙏

Targets right now:

- Mechanical at BITS Pilani

- Electrical at Goa/Hyderabad campuses ⚡

Would really appreciate practical advice from seniors or anyone who improved significantly in Session 2.
