Bought house, buyer's remorse because of noise - can still cancel without costs. What to do?

Hi, I have a question as I'm not quite sure what to do.

I bought a house that I really wanted and still need to renovate. It's in the neighbourhood I wanted to live in, there is people nearby that I know, it has a little garden and enough space for a first home.

After I heard that my bid had been accepted, I started having doubts after a few days though. I knew that was normal, since it's a big decision. And most of the doubts I have been able to work my way through, such as the idea 'what have I got myself into?'

Yesterday though, I got the chance to look at the house again to do a check for the mortgage. I have been there three times for a short while now - about 20 minutes - and it has always been quiet. But this time, while I was there in the evening at around 7pm, there was a lot of noise from the upstairs neighbor's children. Running around and screaming. I could hear there footsteps and running, which you could easily hear even if you had music on and the flat would be filled with stuff. They were obviously playing and having fun, I think they were having a play date. I think they are nice people, as they've already said hello to me as the prospective new owner. So no hard feelings to them.

But the idea of having to deal with this noise on a regular basis sounds really intense to me and makes me seriously doubt whether this is the house for me. I don't want to be the downstairs neighbor who complains about children running around, as I think they should and I did when I was small - I just don't want to be the person living beneath it, especially since I'm q a sensitive person (to noise in particular)

On the other hand, I know this is part and parcel of living in a flat, and in other ways it could be all less intense than I imagine it currently, and I could end up really happy there and get used to the noise, or the noise could not be as bad as I have made it in my mind to be.

All in all, I have serious doubts about whether I want to follow through with the buying of the house, as I can still cancel without paying any major fines. Can someone advise me on what to do / any similar experiences?

TLDR: prospective buyer's remorse, can still cancel, noise upstairs neighbors's child
