Claudine Longet, 60s international film hottie, was immortalized in the Stones’ rockin’ once-unreleased studio outtake “Claudine”, which can be enjoyed on the Some Girls super deluxe cd box set.

Yesterday, before opening up the store, I was playing 5/8/1977, and when I opened up the doors at 12, a young mid-20s dude was waiting outside to come in.

“Estimated Prophet” was playing and after a couple minutes, he turned to me kind of excited and said: “What’s the name of this song?”
I told him and then he asked, “What’s the band?”

“Grateful Dead,” I said.

He looked at me incredulously: “THIS is the Grateful Dead?!!” Apparently, he’d heard of them, but never poked around. “WOW.”

In a couple minutes, he asked, “Now, what’s this song called?”
“Saint Stephen,” I told him.

And then I told him all about the internet archive and how to hear the whole show! Actually sent him a link.

He was very happy.

A New head has sprouted!! 😊
